Tanna Farms Golf Club
About
Tanna Farms Golf Club in Geneva offers some of the best golf that the Fox Valley has to offer. The layout meanders across prairies covered with wildflowers and weaves through lush wetlands. The course begins with the stunning signature hole. The par-3 opener has an island green that sets the scene for this thrilling and memorable round. Although it's a seemingly short course at 6,510 yards from the back tees, what it lacks in length it makes up for with plenty of other challenges. Besides the first hole, there are a few other tough par 3s, including one with a postage-stamp sized green. There are some daunting par 5s as well. Tanna Farms Golf Club is not a lengthy course but the layout is generously spaced to offer breathing room between the holes and the undulating slopes and subtle elevation changes make it pay much longer.

Overall worth it
I like Tanna Farms. The layout is good and its maintained well, with the exception of the bunkers, which are more dirt than sand and the cart paths are in need of some work, as there are lots of big bumps in some areas. But it's a course I am sure to visit again.
A fun course that winds through a subdivision; there are numerous wetland areas that are challenging to players that don't have long ball capability. This season, they weren't able to secure a vendor for the restaurant-bar, limiting 19th hole relaxation.
Bare Minimum
Upon arriving you will find the restaurant and bathrooms are closed. There is no food, beverage cart is cash only and on top of that there is no water on the corse at all. Greens were beat up. I can tell this could be a nice course but they do nothing to make the experience good for the golfer. They offer the bare minimum.
Ehhhhhh….
Pros:
-well places hazards and interesting dead zones make shot selection/decision making a challenge
-friendly staff
-generally good condition
-nice hole descriptions on the scorecard
-reasonable price
Cons:
-entire course is lined with houses, some incredibly close to the fairway or rough negating decent shots as OB
-weird sequencing, 6 par 3s that’re all very similar
-pace got rough on the back 9, it’s far more difficult and slowed all groups down significantly
- literally houses and yards within feet of you at all times…not the peaceful escape, quiet, and scenic landscape of courses in the area and price range. Depressing suburban vistas instead of nature.
-no halfway house
-encountered beverage cart once in 18 holes
-ran out of hotdogs
-clubhouse has a single toilet. Golfers “clearing their systems” all in a row pre-morning round and took a lot of time and was rough on the senses to say the least
-hardly any trees, but not a links style course
-somewhat repetitive in design with mid fairway hazards, repeated yardages, and similar club selection. Used probably 5 clubs in 18 holes.
Overall decent, but not worth the hour drive from Chicago. If I can as closer I’m sure I’d play it again but can’t say if seek it out unless you’re under 20-30 minutes away.
Great course for the money - wish people would pick up the pace
We started at a good pace but quickly caught up to the people in front of us and they were slow as all. The course is beautiful though and I really enjoyed scoring a Birdy on one of the par 3's. Was a great round all in all.
Map?
Course was in great condition. My only complaint is that there is no ,ap on the scorecard. When combined with invisible hazards (twice) the score goes up unfortunately.
Great course
Great course but oh man you have to start on a par 3 cold. There is no warmup because no driving range. But great golf course.
Tanna farms
This is the only coarse i know that starts with 140 yard par 3 over water, followed by a par 5. Tanna farms is a fun coarse that snakes its way around an nice neighborhood. Its well taken care of and well groomed. My only real complaint is the lack of food or drink at the turn so so bring some snacks
Challenging course
The course is in fabulous condition. It is challenging for a high handicap player but nonetheless fun.

Good track. Had a lot of rain the day before; but the course drains very well!
