Prairie Highlands Golf Course

First time playing this course. Very enjoyable experience. Fairways were tight and lots of sand traps. But fair.

It looks like the unacceptable trap conditions have been around for a while. They were raked dirt. Either put some freaking sand in them, or mark them as GUR. The course layout itself is and always has been above average, but unless you stay out of the traps, or bring a dirt wedge, they are unplayable.

The course is nice but please fix the bunkers. I will be back for more rounds.

A great course and layout, the greens were very fast and difficult, the fairways were great, and the sand traps needed work; however, are on the list for repair. Overall, an outstanding golf course. It is one of my favorites. I paid $20.00 with rewards for the other players and I did not pay because I am a Great Life Member.

I’ve been wanting to play this course for a couple of years and finally got my chance. Great layout with just enough challenges. It was later in the season so the bunkers were mud instead of sand, but other than that a great course to play.

This is the first time we experienced double-booking which we had feared from other comments listed before. Surprisingly it did not affect our start time but the fact that we were not on the starter's list at all made us feel different from the other golfers specifically when the Starter and the Pro Shop learned we booked on GolfNow which they said they experienced many times before. They simply accommodated us without any warm fuzzy. The group of eleven regulars ahead of us (yes eleven in the group in pairings of three and four) were given priority. The starter questioned the bookings from GolfNow. Otherwise, everything was great.

The course was great, sand traps are out of the question because of the amount of rain we received this year. Not a bad thing though because sand is everywhere. Was a great course, greens and fairways in great condition. I will definitely play at again.

I've always found the food and drinks to be more expensive than other clubs, the sand traps are currently poor so play them as GUR, the course has a lot of tournament play so the zoysia fairways end up being a tighter lie than you expect due to the cart traffic beating them down, and the layout is boring in spots. Driver wedge on 1-3 with 4 being a par 5 so nearly the same. No danger on any except sand. 6 is a forced layup. 9 can have a tough tee ball. 10-14 bomb away. 11 and 13 are nearly/actually drivable depending on your length and wind. 15 needs a straight drive.

It's a nice enough course to play that it's enjoyable but paying rack rate is tough to swallow.

I have played Prairie Highlands many times and it is one of my favorites in the KC area. As a middle teens handicap, I find the course fun. manageable with a couple challenging holes from the tee. The course is in great shape except the sand traps which have had a tough time keeping sand in them with all the heavy rain of late. All in all....a fun course for all abilities.

The course was good but the traps were unplayable. We were told they plan to re-work the traps in the coming year. This would mean that various holes will be closed as they are worked on.

I love this golf course and play it every chance I can.

The traps and bunkers were not adequate. Grass and weeds were growing in the bunkers and there was hardly any sand. Mostly just dirt.

Overall good condition and the greens are fast. The only problem I have is the atrocious condition of the bunkers. Most of the sand traps have NO sand in them

Fairway conditions were excellent. The staff members were very friendly and interactive. Greatly appreciated their enthusiasm. Pace of play appears slow at start but clears after the first hole. Excellent course.

Greens were really good. Bunker condition was really NOT good.

Overall very positive.

Greens need work. Aerated over a month ago, some greens were bumpy. A par 3 green on back 9 was so bad, we said this is a 2 putt max rule. Awful.

Course is pretty flat most of the way round. there are alot of turns and split fairways. pretty challenging course. I always have a blast out here.
