Previously known as The Jackal Golf Club at Mt Brighton. Sprawling across a majestic landscape covered with spring-fed ponds and mature oaks, The Golf Club at Mt. Brighton offers a challenging round as well as stunning scenery. The golf course shares the grounds with a ski resort, guaranteeing a variety of dramatic elevation changes throughout. Club selection is the key to doing well on this course. Accuracy is also an important factor. The tricky greens are balanced by generous, player-friendly fairways. Acres of natural wetlands, including a cascading waterfall, have been incorporated into the design. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. The layout opens with a dramatic, downhill par 4 that offers a panoramic view of the course. In addition to the golf course, The Golf Club at Mt. Brighton also offers a grass driving range.

Slow play
5 hour round held up for a 14 person outing let a group of 14 cause a 5 hour round terrible course management why have rangers if they don’t speed pace of play
fun to play
The first four holes are extremely hard and the back nine plays better than the frt not as tight- some holes are gimmicky
Nice course.
Had three inches of rain night before and course was soaked. If you are first time player this is a very difficult course but it gives all players different ways to play the holes. First hole is very nice with a view of Brighton from above. This is a great course for $20 but not so great for $30 or above weekdays for seniors.
Don't be fooled by picture on Golf Now
The picture they have posted on Golf Now is no where representative of the actual course conditions. The picture lead me to believe that the course warranted the $50 asking price. The bunkers on the entire course had hard brown sand in them with weeds growing in the bunkers. The grass was slightly stressed but manicured. I get that part of the novelty of the course is playing through the ski slopes on the front 9, but in the conditions of this course, it's only worth $35 tops with all of the other nicer courses in the area charging that or slightly more or less. I definitely won't be getting burned here again.
Narrow and creeks require solid irons!
This course is incredible. Played on Memorial Weekend Sunday. Had a 30 minute tee off delay. Not many holes for big bomber drivers and you have to be on your iron game and ball striking to avoid the many creek hazards and OB markers that come into frequent play. This was a tough course and I played in high school and golf regularly. For an 80s handicap golfer, this will challenge you. Yard markers could be bigger for visual pick up. Even maybe add yardage markers to certain blind tee shots.
start the season
For being early in the season, course was great!
Staff is fantastic. I
Quirky but I love it
Greens we're in great condition, fairways & tee boxes all were great also. Seemed to play longer from the blues than the 6700+ yards advertised. Outstanding price booked the night prior thru Golf Now. Excellent value. I really like the elevation changes and especially like the par 3's and also the up north / deep in the woods feel you get once you're off the holes closer to the road & clubhouse. Lots of water, skinny fairways and some well placed bunkers. Overall an interesting course to play. It doesn't hurt that it's a block from my house!
Most interesting course
Keeps you on your toes, fantastic views along with a interesting take on each hole. Ski lodge in the winter, makes for a video game style course with ski lifts all over and the challenging #9 par 3. Love playing this course, as it is challenging as well as breath taking at the same time.
The Old Jackal
First time play and had a twosome. Really enjoyed views from 1st tee box & how front nine worked in/around the ski slopes. Course was damp from earlier rains however it was well maintained. Back nine more traditional up north style with some narrow, challenging tree lined fairways. Enjoyed the round and plan to play again.
Characteristics of a ski resort Course.
Topping the hill to hole one approaching first tee box I knew I was in for a treat. Each hole had a personality of its own an a challenge to get to know it as one had to each person one meets.
Your shots had to be spot on or you were dealing with trouble which came in a variety of ways. From mature trees, water, carrying wasteland to well placed bunkers. Then you got to the greens and the creativity and character continued. Multi-purpose leveled and fairly quick made for many a 3 putt from this guy.
We went back to the course for 2nds the next day and shared the wonderful horrifying rounds of play with friends when we returned home after the holiday weekend. If ever in that area again and I am needing a reality check to my game, or just want to challenge the creative, mind boggling holes of this course, I will be back for more. Every daring golfer should experience this course.
