Terrific Mountain Course
Enjoyed this mountain course that we played at the end of a golf trip. Course had rolling terrain, solid greens and nice views of surrounding Pilot Mountain.
Super friendly staff
Staff is super friendly. They do have a marshall/starter and he is a super nice guy as well. Keeps everyone on time with their tee time. The greens are so firm it makes it tough. Some of the truest rolling greens I have played but they are just so fast for the undulations. Some very steep slopes on them. Fairly new so maybe when they grow in some they will be even better. Lay out is one of the best and the view is immaculate here in the fall especially. The food and drinks are priced well and want break you up if you want to grab a hotdog and some drinks at the turn. Give it a try if you have not already. You will enjoy your round.
Extra firm greens fairly tough course
I live with in 20 minutes of the course so I have played it a few times. They have changed the greens in the last couple years and they are very firm. Looked to have traces of sand so hasn’t been to long since they were done. Still the ball rolled really true. It’s not a very forgiving course so don’t miss the greens on the wrong places. Some greens have stupid slope on them but very playable. The layout is one of the best and I swung every club in the bag. Only bad thing with the place and it may just be bad luck for me. I have a chunk out of my sm9 from off the edge of the fairway. 6 iron also took a small place but nothing to worry with. I purchased a new set of 919HM back in 2020 and used them for first time at this course and hit a rock on 18 middle of face from middle of fairway. Hitting balls off the ground it’s going to eventually happen. Overall we enjoyed our round and played 9 more holes. One advice I’d give is don’t use lob wedge around the greens and carry the ball to the hole. You can’t enough check to get it to stop within 10 feet. A few more rounds and I’m sure we could get use to the greens. A must play course if you are in the area.
Beautiful Mountain Course
I am an 11 hcp and thoroughly enjoyed this track. Fairways and greens were in pristine condition. I was a solo and finished 18 in 3 hours, all allowed by courteous groups that allowed me to play through when appropriate. It was an hour drive but I will be back with my friends when I can.
Beautiful
The course is pristine and the staff is top-notch. Loved it so much I decided to become a member. Highly recommend.
Poor customer service
They allowed golf now to book reservation on a day they were having a tournament. When I showed for tee time the Pro said they were supposed to have notify anybody but my reservation paper was still right next to their register. Pro said he was contacting golf now to refund but no action. Next day he said he was sending an email and I would be cc'd but never did. 5 days later I called golf now and they quickly refunded but no effort by Pro.
Super Friendly People, Enjoyed the Round
A nice course, not long (6400 yards from tips) but challenging because of the undulation in the greens.
Greens were very nice, course fairways were dry and hard and had been aerated recently.
Played with my father and son and we finished in under 4 hours.
I would recommend playing if you are in the area, got a great golf rate off of golnow.com.
Great greens! Great views!
The last round I played was before the greens were redone. I must say they are now in great shape. Firm and fast with undulations which is a nice challenge. It’s mid May and the fairways are coming out nicely. I would definitely recommend this course. And, an added bonus, are the great views of Pilot Mtn!!
Made it right!
This is the follow-up on a previous review. After reaching out to Pilot Knob about my frustrations, they were quick to make it right. Rarely do you see this level of customer service! Pilot Knob definitely cares about their golfers and their experiencies. I look forward to getting back out here & thanking the GM personally.

Pace of play was excellent! I believe the place will really green up over the next couple of weeks. Greens should be prime this summer.
Pilot knob park
Fun track, not sure I like the green changes, always friendly staff and usually play a few tournaments there every year…greens usually somewhat fast, don’t get above the hole on 16!
