Heritage Oaks Golf Course
About
Nestled in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, Heritage Oaks Golf Course sprawls across a diverse terrain that provides the course with plenty of variety. The par-70 layout has both links-style holes and more traditional, tree-lined holes. The front nine is more player friendly. There are some good opportunities to build up your score before facing the tougher back nine. It's a tighter layout with more trees, demanding accuracy and careful course management. A stream meanders through the golf course, connecting to the ponds that also come into play, especially on the back nine. There are also several strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the greensides. The golf course has some challenging holes but it's player friendly enough for beginners to approach with confidence. Four sets of tees make Heritage Oaks G.C. accessible to players of all skill levels.

Great Price and well maintained course!
Overall you cant beat the price I paid of $9.60 after taxes on Golfnow.com which included green fees plus cart. The course overall is well maintained and is very nice. Difficulty is moderate to easy. Enjoyed my day!
Beautifully maintained
Course was in excellent condition. Fairways were like carpet. Hot day, but cold water was available at many locations. Very well maintained.
Fun course with good conditions and very nice scenery!
We play in Richmond most of the time and it was truly nice to play on a course that was well maintained with beautiful scenery and a “cool” breeze for most of the round. We will drive up again to escape the “heat” in the lowlands…
Great Course, Short but very nice.
Staff kind of made us feel guilty for using Golfnow but we still had fun regaurdless. The course had some tough holes and some easy holes so you have chances to keep a good score and plenty of birdie putts. We will go back. The grill had some good food as well.
Very nice rolling municipal golf course
This course was a nice surprise. Very well maintained and pleasant to play. The greens are a little slow but it had been raining and it is early in the year. The fairways were plush and firm (no idea why it was cart path only) The ruff was generally in good shape and fair, however some areas were so thick that thinking other than wedge was suicide. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The pace of play was relaxing with our round being less than 4 hours.
This is a quaint little course which is most enjoyable.
ok staff, good course to play, slow..slow
it is a nice course to play some challenging holes, club house staff could use some polishing on mannerism.
Good course, great value!
The greens are currently being aerated so putting was very difficult. The roughs are thick and should be cut down a little. The fairways and tee boxes are maintained. Challenging course which is well worth the cost. I would recommend waiting a couple weeks to play until the greens are back in shape.
An abesolute rip off
The first time I played there, they wouldn't honor my golf now rate. The second time I played there they charged me for my wife to ride in a cart with me, ten extra dollars when the course wasn't busy. This place is a rip off.
Best public course in Harrisonburg
This course has the best layout in Harrisonburg, VA. It is also the best deal, especially with GolfNow. I played for 16 with a hot deal. You can not even walk the other courses for that price. The course fits my eye and I love it!
