Awesome
Great day with out of town friends! Great coarse. Can't wait to play again! Go after pins! Big greens! Lots of long putts I don't need to see again. I mean that in a good way!
Fun Time
Wide open course with very nice greens not to mention that they have "Spotted Cow"! Great course, great beer.
Wonderful facility!
I love playing this course! Set in the gentle rolling hills of Western Wisconsin farmlands. Course is very well kept and can be challenging if played from longer tees. Staff is friendly and relaxed.
Shh! Don't tell anyone.
I am reluctant to share our experience at Pheasant Hills. It could not of been anymore perfect. Great condition, fair but challaging course layout , very friendly staff and a beverage cart on a Monday afternoon. In addition the weather was perfect. Now that said remember not to tell anyone.
Worth the drive from the Cities.
There is nothing bad to say about this course other then I wish it was closer to the Twin Cities. I love that I can spray the tee shot just about anywhere and you can find it easily. Greens are super huge and roll true. Fairways are good and rough is nice because they do not let it get out of control. I drive past all sorts of other courses to golf at Pheasant. One way trip from here in Eagan is 50 miles - please move course closer.
Challenging wide open course
Course looks like it is a farm. Even the clubhouse/bar is in an old converted barn. Staff was really friendly and welcoming! Course was very open without many trees but it did provide a challenge with strategically placed bunkers and water hazards.
Invites you to grip and rip.
Outstanding fall conditions! Course was well maintained.
Definitely worth playing!!
play it again sam
greens were OK for this time of year
Nice Course
Course is wide open and fairly long.
Course is well taken care off with ball washers and garbage cans at every hole. Fun course to play except when its windy extremely hard to play.
Great Course
Great layout. Nothing could be done to better the course. Will only get better with age. Defiantly will golf again this year.
Fair and Fun
This is rural golf at its best. In this area, you have overpriced White Eagle and Troy Burne. Both good courses if I wasn't so cheap. Well I am cheap. I look for deals and I found two great ones in this area. New Richmond Country Club and now Pheasant Hills. Like my last review, I considered this a small town course. I was amazed at the shape this place was in. Listen, there are little to know amenities in what they call a pro shop/bar. But wow, what they saved there is spent on the up keep on the course. Tee boxes, 8.5, fairways, 9.0, greens, 9.0, layout 8.5, challenge, 8.75 and distance, 9.5 from the blues. I played in a 13-15 mile wind that made a few holes tough. Any east siders can get to this course in about 30-45 minutes, worth the trip. I want to play it without the wind. Must play over Kilcarney, river falls, Bristol ridge, spring valley, Clifton highlands. I have yet to play St Croix but it has a bad rep for Mickey Mouse holes. This course was in your face....
Worth the drive
Course in nice shape. Too many par 4 holes that are similar.
A 'Once in a While' Choice
This is a wide open course where you can easily recover from a poor tee shot. Overall it's a pretty nice course and we got to play in 70+ degree weather in mid October. Greens were a little shaggy yesterday, but it's tough to complain when you're paying <$15. It is a bit of a drive from the Twin Cities, and there are other decent WI courses that are closer, but I'll definitely keep this one on my list
let er rip!
If you like to let it rip, this track is for you! Wide open and generous fairways, what you see is what you get. Just a few tight doglegs with ponds lurking on the bend. They give you a yardage book, so just check that before you chose a club. A lot of fun!!
All is well...
Except the bunkers not being good sand, this course is pretty nice and the clubhouse is interesting in a good way.
