Pheasant Hills Golf Course in Hammond is known throughout the area for its expansive greens. The average green size on the front nine is 7,500 square feet, including two that are over 10,000 square feet in size. The ample room that the greens offer means that there are several different pin-placement options. You will also have to maneuver your way over and around ponds on eight holes. The fairways are bordered by rough that is difficult to get out of but like the greens, the fairways provide plenty of room. Your putting and course-management skills will come in handy on this golf course. Every hole has plenty of variety and there are interesting risk-reward opportunities throughout. Pheasant Hills Golf Course a good layout to get some practice with different types of shots.

Pheasant Hills Golf Course has improved

I haven't golfed Pheasant Hills since late 2014. I've always liked the course, but it had needed better care. I would say the new owners have done a great job at keeping the course in better condition. I have liked the openness of the course. It makes it easier for a high-handicapper to play bad shots. I would recommend this course to anyone.

Great value

Nice course. It was in very good condition overall and the greens were in good shape. We booked a threesome on golfnow for 13 dollars apiece. A great deal, worth every penny. This isn't destination golf but if your nearby it's a nice course.

worth the drive

Pulled up honestly was a little skeptical, played first thing in the morning, beautiful course, it's tighter then you would expect. Enjoyed the layout, hole layout could be mapped better, but overall I will come back from the cities.

A great time

This was my first time playing the course and I will definitely be back. The course was in great shape. The greens weren't aerated and rolled true. This course is forgiving as long as you missed in the correct locations. The fairways were wide and if the ball did go off target I was able to find it. I was able to complete 18 holes in 2 hrs playing by myself.

Great course and doesn't break the bank

Probably the nicest course I've golfed this year and i did it back to back days I was so impressed! Also very good prices that always include carts! I really enjoy the multiple putting greens and driving range! Also very challenging with many bunkers and water hazards! Overall great course!

Solid Track in Rural Wisconsin, reachable from the Twin Cities

Overall this track is a great course with fairly challenging holes and solid conditions. There is hazards, if you can avoid them you shouldn't loose too many balls, the ruff area is fairly open and playable. For its value, Pheasant Hills is a great course, its a little far from the T.C. I played Pheasant Hills on my way out to a family cabin in rural Wisconsin, fortunately it was right on my route out there, but for the average Twin Cities Golfer, its about an hour drive.

Huge fairways and greens

This is now in my top 10 public course's in western Wisconsin. 7000 from the tips is a challenge when the wind is blowing.Multiple risk/ reward holes too. If you love to tee it high and let it fly this is a course for you! Great staff, greens and fairways. 250,200,150 and 100 yard markers in fairways too.

Loved it

The course is pretty wide open. Fairways, ruff and greens were all in great shape. I would play it again. A good course to take the wife of girlfriend. Enough sets of tee box's.

Fast Greens

From tee the green the course was in great shape.
The greens where nice pace. We played from the blue tees. The scoring holes are the par fives. The Par three's are all about 160, 180, 140, 180 yards.
