Staff were friendly, course had a good layout, was in pretty good shape for this time of year. The weather didn't cooperate and we stopped after 9 holes. The staff issued us a rain check for the last 9 we look forward to the back 9.My course rating was affected by the poor drainage I am not a local so the puddling maye an effect of the area.
Course was in great shape even tho there was lots of rain last week. Cart Path only; on one hole. Excellent greens. Pin placements on four or five holes should have been on higher ground and not where the greens tended to drain as it was very soft and damp around the cup on a few.
A bit slow because of the rain over the past few days and course being quite wet.
Course was in good shape except for the bunkers. The bunker s were in need of maintenance. Thye were hard, packed sand. they needed to be raked
First off, played in 2hrs. Straightforward course, second time here. Greens in very good shape, but saturated from a couple days of rain and a morning downpour. Cart path only. Fairways decent, over seeded and coming in nicely. Tees were more spotty, some good some not so good. The crowd was there at 9, looks like a local fave .
Everyone from the Pro Shop to the Starter was very accommodating.
Snack shop. Good parking, bag cart arrives at your car & transports the clubs.
Excellent value for your money.
We always enjoy playing Beachwood. Greens were in great shape.
excellant round - no Marshall
the day was perfect. Arrived early and the course had my booking through GolfNow.com.
I wanted to walk the course however management didn't allow this. They said the fees included a cart but I wanted to walk just for the exercise.
The course was in excellent shape for two hurricanes running through the Carolinas just a short month ago. The greens were fast but slowed as the day progressed. Kudos to staff, management and course crew! Job well done! Caution, there is a resident gator at one of the water hazards on the back nine. i found him when i was trying to retrieve my ball... They can keep my ball!
The pace of play was the real issue. im not a great golfer, a novice at best, and I dont mind admitting this. Im not a fast paced golfer by any stretch! but I had a 4 some ahead of me that was even slower! I know that some parties wont allow for play through but these people held up myself, and two other parties behind us! I had to leave by the end of the 15th as 5 hours had transpired already. I had a previous committment to get to. THERE WAS NO COURSE MARSHALL to monitor play! I have had course marshalls on other courses ask me to allow quicker players to good ahead of me - I have no probelms with this, so they really need one! The course in my estimation should have taken 4.5 to 5 hours to complete!
Overall a great experience for this first time and I would go back again but it would be good if Beachwood would take a look at this in their policies as it could sour players that may otherwise not come back but would never say anything..
Course was in good condition, greens were nice, overall great day
We were scheduled to play on October 11th but that day the remnants of Hurricane Micheal hit the North Myrtle Beach area. I called the course and the pro shop rescheduled us for October 12th with out a problem. They had a few downed trees on the course but the trees were not in the way of play. The course was in good condition considering what occurred the day before. Loved the course so much, returned on October 14th.
The Worst Round Ever!! Staff Terrible!!
This was the worst experience I have ever had as a golfer. As a female golfer I appreciate the expectation of good golf ediquette on the course and would never believed that I had to deal with this situation. The threesome ahead of us hired either a stripper or a hooker to pose for them as they putted each hole. This woman had such short shorts, no clubs and the starter had allowed her on the course. We complained to the clubhouse via the cart girl and still nothing was done. We were not offered any compensation for this experience.
Great Value with GolfNow prices!
Still recovering from Hurricane Florence with some downed trees and saturated soil. #9 par 5 cart path only. Despite that the course was easily playable with the greens in good shape.
Would play again in drier conditions. Good warmup track.
Even better staff! Very friendly, outgoing! Will definitely will play this course again, when in MB.
Course is over priced!!!!!!!
I reserved this tee time thru Golf Now and was looking forward to playing this course because I have never played it. This course has a nice layout and is set up for the average hacker to score. The greens were to slow and the tee boxes are slated. Makes for setting up your tee shot at times a challenge if you are trying place a tee shot in the right spot of the fairway. I understand that a hurricane just came thru a few weeks ago, but the greeens were very very very slow. I will play this course again if the price is $25 instead of $50 I paid today. There are other courses in area that are much worth the price to pay and asking $50 is I think is nuts. I guess that’s the price the snow bunnies have to pay coming from up north.
Course was well designed and as I’m older all holes was well within my reach (from the gold) and fairways were plenty wide allowing ones ball to remain in play even on miss hits.....we’ll worth the money and a good value!!
Will play again on a return trip to Myrtle Beach!
Beachwood was Good
Course was in good shape considering the hurricane just occurred a few days earlier.Great value for the price.
Couple of Green's on front 9 we're a little rough, back 9 good, most of the Tee box nothing but sand.
Great course for handicap golfer
Beachwood is a course I always come back to. Yardage not too long, wide fairways, not too much water, grounds well kept, friendly staff, great value.
