Great pace of play
Despite a 1 hour frost delay, got off on time and was done in 4 hours
Variety of tees
Can play close to 8000 yards, but the gold tees were an adequate challenge for a senior
Nice layout, especially the last three holes
The course was a little soft on a few holes due to rain the day before I suspect. There are also a couple of areas under repair but nothing that prevent you from playing the hole. Greens were in very good shape. I just wish I could have seen the breaks. I would definitely play this course again.
Nice layout
They got us out before our tee time which was a plus. Rain was heading in within a few hrs. The staff are friendly and helpful. The course was in pretty good condition. There were a few holes that were wet and we had to play cart path only on those holes but all in all a well laid out course. The finishing holes specifically 17 and 18 are great. I would definitely play again.
surprise
Walked this course many years ago and it was okay but this time it was really in good shape.A lot of improvements. Will play it again.
Great at the Nest
Everything was great at this course. Some repairs being made to the fairways but no big deal. I want to give a special shout out to Roger the cart loader who was super pleasant and to Gene the grounds keeper who took the time to make me feel welcome.
Good value
We (4) play Myrtle Beach are every year and Eagles Nest is one of our favourites. Great value for the $$$. Nice course layout. Greens were a little hard to read (time of year).
We'll be back...
eagle nest 11/8
Course would be really great if it was dry. Cartpath only after a rain storm. really wet, needed boots, interesting layout. Club house great and employees all very nice. Would play this course again but only if its dry
Nice day on the course
Yes it was quite wet but there has been a lot of rain. Staff did mention this but it was not that bad. Staff was very friendly and the layout was interesting and challenging. I would definitely play here again.
Test of Golf
Pace of play a bit slow. Demanding course. Great layout. Rolling hills for Myrtle. You will use most of your bag.
Course in Very Good Shape
The golf course was in very good shape despite the recent hurricane littering most of the courses in the area with tree limbs or uprooted trees. The greens were in very good shape, rolled very well. Rest of the course was good as well, apart from some areas that were undergoing renovation work before the summer began, but the 17th green is now playable,(no more temporary green). The area from 100 yards to the green on the 16th hole is still grassless, all sandy soil, making me wonder if it wouldn't work better having that area as a massive waste area (but the hole would have to be shortened, since it's a long Par 4, often requiring average players to lay up short of the green with their second shot. Speaking of sand, the greenside bunkers are the best bunkers I have seen all year, soft, sugary sand, a joy to play out of.
