Eagle Nest Golf Club
Eagle Nest provides all the beauty you would expect at a South Carolina resort course. Gently rolling terrain. Tall pines lining the fairways. Cypress trees growing in ponds; willow trees gracing their banks. But the real beauty lies in the way architect Gene Hamm set up the course.
Hamm starts you off easy, giving you a virtually straight-away par five, handicap 14, stretching 492 yards from the whites. Then follows that with a delightful little 332 yard par four, dogleg right, handicap 16. And by the time you make your way around the ponds and pines through the next thirteen holes, you'll be ready for Hamm's big finale, what many consider the three toughest finishing holes on the Grand Strand.

Nicees course I’ve played
Great layout very challenging lots of bunkers and water
Always a must play when in North Myrtle Beach. Very friendly staff. Course was in very good shape overall.
First time while on vacation.
My father in law and I went while on vacation. With my GolfNow promo codes it was a great hot deal price. When we arrived we were told that we had to play the front 9 twice due to the back 9 being aerated. This was disappointing because they did not mention this on GolfNow like other courses usually do. Then the club house only has chips and crackers to offer to golfers; not even hotdogs or hamburgers. The greens had just been aerated due too how much sand was on them. Overall it was a good experience being that I got to golf while on vacation. The course layout was great for any skilled golfer. The pace of play was great with no one around us.
Eagles Nest A Solid Course
Course was in decent shape. Greens were in good shape, some pock marks from PEOPLE NOT FIXING THEIR BALL MARKS! C'mon man it's a badge of honor to fix em!. But they all rolled true. Fairways were nice and wide and the rough was mower height or two higher than the fairways.. The back 9 was much tougher than the front with 3 tough finishing holes. This wood be a good course to warm up Overall i liked this course.

Loved the layout of this course
We arrived in plenty time before teeing off and had a pleasant chat with the.friendly staff..We went to the range to warm up and the range was in excellent shape. The tee boxes and fairways were in fantastic shape and the recently sanded greens were consistent. The layout of the course was as good as it gets and the spacious fairways were very appealing. The par threes and fives were challenging but very fun to play. I loved the spectacular finishing par three 18th hole. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our golf experience at this course and highly recommend it to all golfers.
Review May 2019
Course in decent shape
Greens a little slow
Pace of play was slow for a Friday morning
Just under 5 hrs
Course quite flat and straight forward not too much stress to play this one
Fairways in good shape too
Hello Francois. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Staff is good, but everything else was not
The pace of play in Saturday’ was brutal. When we finally decided to go ahead of the groups to leave we saw two full holes open 17 and 18 were empty. The carts were dirty and course was muddy from overwatering.
I took a photo of a trash can and hole 6 and let the staff know this looks bad.
We won’t play here again.

Very nice course in great shape. Staff very friendly. Good for all skill levels.
Great course conditions/poor staff
Extremely mismanaged course. Tried to make us play in a group of 5 and we’re very unorganized right from the start. Very frustrating before even beginning our round. Clubhouse closed and locked before 6pm and no beer/snack cart on a very busy Saturday. I feel bad for the groundskeeping crew who keep the course in great condition only to have poor management ruin the experience

Fair & Fun
My first time in SC and saw good reviews for this course. I found the staff at Eagle Nest to be very friendly. I went solo and was paired up with a couple of locals and we had a great time! I personally really liked this course. A few of the greens were a little rough (but I know they've had some weather recently), but I thought the tees and fairways were in great condition and I didn't feel totally punished if I missed one, like on some other courses. Overall a fair, fun course that I would recommend to anyone visiting Myrtle Beach.
Nice course, very playable
The course was in reasonably good shape, but the recent top dressing on the majority of the greens was disappointing - making it all but impossible to hole any putts. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable day. The course plays fairly short (white tees), other than hole 16 (long par 4), which is best played as a short par 5 (you will definitely make more 5s than 6s that way). Apart from the top dressed greens are only other comment would be about the placement of the tees. My wife usually plays off the forward (red) tees, but she found these to be much too far down most fairways, with the next set of blocks generally too long. So the recommendation would be to play a mix of these based on overall hole length.
