Eagle Nest Golf Club
About
Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.
Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

Eagles Nest
Very nice course for higher handicap golfers. Problems we faced on this trip was that the course was very wet and cart path only.
Eagle's Wings have elevated this course nicely!!
Not having played this course in quite a few years, we were quite surprised and elated at the course and conditions this time around. New ownership at some point seems evident, and the course reflects the improvements. At this price point nothing will ever be perfect like Augusta National, but the care of the maintenance crew shines throughout. Everything was superior to what we previously encountered. Only one complaint. The practice green seemed to be totally different in speed and roll than the sticky, grabby, grainy greens that confounded us as we putted. The greens were in great shape, mind you, but just tricky. A great course, and very difficult for the high handicappers that we are.
Great value for quality course layout
This layout is one of best in area for straight forward challenging holes. Very traditional style with enough gentle elevation changes that require accurate iron selection. Greens are smooth and run true. Would definitely play again and highly recommend it.
Nice Layout
We enjoyed our day. We have played it many times over the years.
Favorite course at the beach
Love the course.
As always, there will be some rude and impatient players that hit up on us.
Well worth the money.
The house was great shape greens were fast and true. Wide open fairways well maintained.
WOW
We played here several years ago, and the course was in rough shape, which is why it’s been several years since we played here. What a pleasant surprise the shape of the course was in especially the greens. After our round I went inside to complement the staff who explained why the course had such a vast turnaround.. This will be a regular stop on my circuit when I’m in this area. Kudos to the management. Wonderful job.
Will come back
Nothing spectacular with the course but it is a nice layout with well maintained tees and greens. Good value for the money. Watch out holes 16-17-18 they might come and bite you!
Nice layour - spring conditions
Enjoyed the layout of the course, but fairways were still brown. But still good value for the fees we paid.
Course was fine; pariing was a challenge
Course was in very good condition for early April. Pace of play was good. Was paired with a heavy beer drinker and two novice golfers. Not the best.
