Well worth the drive
My friends and I drove two hours from Pagosa Springs, CO to Farmington, NM to play Pinon Hills. It was well worth the drive! The staff were over-the-top friendly and helpful, The pace of play was perfect, and the course was in very nice shape. The price is very fair for a course of this quality. It’s no wonder so many golfers from Pagosa make the drive to Pinon Hills!
A fantastic day!
Our experience @ Pinon Hills was terrific! Randy (in the Pro Shop) was extremely helpful, friendly, and courteous, as well as very professional. Then we met Mark (our starter for the morning) who could not have been more pleasant and helpful! He was so accommodating to a particular need we had, and was one of the friendliest starters I've ever come across. Everyone on the premises was friendly and helpful. It was such a contrast to our home course! We can't wait for the next opportunity to play Pinon Hills. It's a real gem!
Great Course!
the course is in really good shape considering the heat and lack of moisture we have been having. The staff were extremely friendly and accomidating, would definately play again
Fast Greens!
Greens were pure and fast. Pace of play was perfect this go around. Not fast, not slow. Just enough time for everyone to get in their practice swings and hit, even if you had to hit 1-2 extra shots to get to the green.
Great Course
Great layout, lots of dog leg holes, tiered greens with lots of slope, greens were in excellent condition, rolled true and were challenging. One of the best courses I have played for the green fees. Will play here again, any chance I get
You can't go wrong here.
Every hole has its unique challenge. You must be on the right tier when hitting your approach if you plan on scoring well.
Great cart upgrades
Haven’t played course in awhile due to closure for renovations. Very impressed with the new carts and what has been completed so far!
The course will be great when grass comes in
Just recently reopened with new cart oaths, irrigation and revamped sand traps (much needed). When sun comes out and grass takes ahold it will be great. Thanks for removing sage brush too. It does need more rakes for the sand traps, maybe golfers will use them.
great value
i have played some very good courses throuhgout the west but none as affordable as pinon hills.it is a great high desert course with challenging greens.
Excellent condition - March 26
Pinon is a terrific course, and great condition for March. Early snow left the fairways green and the greens were superb for this time of year. Only complaint was 5 hour round due to slow foursome in front of our twosome.
Pinion Hills
Great day. Warm, sunny with light wind on the 1st day of Spring. Skied yesterday and played golf today.
Still early
I love this course. Very humbling, great, fast greens (usually). It's early season, so the greens are longer and a little rough, but golf is golf. Always worth it
Great Course
This golf course has a lot to offer. Very challenging, lots of contour on the greens and fairways. Lots of difficult shots over canyons and elevation changes. Very entertaining, and a gem in Farmington.
