It's hard to tell why, but I really enjoyed the golf course.
It's definitely not the best in the area, but the course was enjoyable: the staff, cart GPS, wide fairways.
It could get improvements to their amenities. Also in one hole, I had to drive three times due to power cables above the course.
Best value in Orlando area.
I love playing Ventura. The course is always well taken care of. Great food inside at the clubhouse. Pace of play was great and the staff was super friendly.
Don't let the shorter total yardage fool you.. The bermuda rough at Ventura is the definition of 'penal'....mean that in a good way. Always well kept.
The course is beautiful. THe problem is you can't play here if it had rained within a week. Very poor drainage. It rained 2 days earlier and the course was sloppy. Couldn't ride the cart off the path. And couldn't swing the club to hit any dirt or grass or you would have mud all over you.
Solid short track only 6000 from the tips. Lots of Par 3s so be prepared to wait
took a newbee out that just finished 20 lessons--selected Ventura due to its overall conditions, sand in bunkers, grass in fairway's ,you know "the little things".the rain hit on the 12 hole, newbee left, the 2 old guy's waited 15 min. and finished out the round Many course rankings are a little on the high side'this one at 4 to 5 stars is well earned.ENJOY!!
I have played this course many times and it has always been enjoyable...good fairways and greens...nice golf carts.
They occasionally change which holes are one and two and now they are back to the original way but my Bushnell rangefinder was quite confused as apparently the the gps coordinates where not adjusted...minor thing as I never know how far I'm going to hit it anyhow.
