A enjoyable course , one of the best values you’ll find in central fla.
Good value for money
A short but challenging course. Great value for money.
Fun to play
This course is quite short...5,600 yds from the Blue tees. However, it was in decent condition, and quite fun to play. ...
The staff is miserable, except for the retired gents that work there.
There are no amenities in the clubhouse...no GPS on the carts.
However, for such a great price, if you are a 20 handicap or more , you will enjoy it
We love this course where my husband and I come very often. We recommend !
I would not play here again. course is ok . greens are in good shape. fairways are ok. course is very short. for 20$ not bad but there are much better courses to play for that price. this course want to be a high end course but has a long way to go. this is just a plan course nothing special
NIce Sunday Morning
Course is in excellent condition. Greens are fast and pins were put in difficult spots on some holes. If you hit solid shots and can read speed and breaks on the greens you will score well.
Still Great After All These Years
I have played Ventura since it opened in 1981. I have played easily over 500 rounds of golf there. The course is CONSISTENTLY IN VERY GOOD SHAPE. Haven’t played much there the last 2 years after moving to Lake County but the course is still great. I just wish they would cut that 2nd and 3rd layer of grass on the par 4’s and 5’s lower. The cart barn guy Rick was super. Very explicit in explaining how the layout has changed. 17 and 18 are number 1 and 2. 10 is now 3 and number 1 is now 10. Had a great day with my wife and played quite well that I attribute to course conditions. Will be back soon.
I like this course
They have recently decided to make the front nine the back nine and 17 and 18 one and two...once I get use to that I'll be more comfortable. When a course is changed like that, it seems like a new experience and I guess that is good.
Conditions were quite good, fairways and greens in great shape, excellent golf carts.....course was busy and pace was slow in places but got around in about 3:15
Nice course overall.
I enjoyed playing here. Tee boxes were a little confusing to find at times. I think they are rearranging the holes.
Have fun being backed up
Backed up for 20 minutes on every hole. Management of pace of play is terrible. Decent course for the money but you will wait a long time to tee off on every hole because of slow pace of play.
The most friendly staff ever we met for playing 5 courses here in Orlando. This course defineteny deserve a repeat.
It's hard to tell why, but I really enjoyed the golf course.
It's definitely not the best in the area, but the course was enjoyable: the staff, cart GPS, wide fairways.
It could get improvements to their amenities. Also in one hole, I had to drive three times due to power cables above the course.
Best value in Orlando area.
I love playing Ventura. The course is always well taken care of. Great food inside at the clubhouse. Pace of play was great and the staff was super friendly.
Don't let the shorter total yardage fool you.. The bermuda rough at Ventura is the definition of 'penal'....mean that in a good way. Always well kept.
The course is beautiful. THe problem is you can't play here if it had rained within a week. Very poor drainage. It rained 2 days earlier and the course was sloppy. Couldn't ride the cart off the path. And couldn't swing the club to hit any dirt or grass or you would have mud all over you.
