The Heritage Club was built on a plot of fertile land along the beautiful Waccamaw River Trail. Over 600 acres of giant magnolias, 300-year-old oaks, fresh water lakes and marshes have been transformed into a golfing community that rivals the finest in the world. The Heritage Club reflects a unique landscape carved by the whims of the river. A magnificent avenue of oaks leads to the welcoming clubhouse overlooking the Waccamaw River.
Ranked among the “50 Best Public Courses in America” by Golf Digest, the Par 71 Heritage Club, a Dan Maples design, follows the natural contours of the land, stretching out beside long abandoned rice fields. The Heritage Club course features spacious, rolling fairways and large, undulating greens, surrounded by lush stands of crepe myrtle, camellias and azaleas. Heavily landscaped areas of wildflowers and flowering shrubs will maintain the beauty of this beautiful setting for generations to come.

Summer heat, but not a drop to drink

I played on a july afternoon and the cart girl stopped me on the first green at 2pm. Said she may not see me the rest of the day. I was puzzled. I came to learn that there were not many people out in the heat so she "must have left "

Ok.. i guess i get it. Then as i attempted to get water at few water stations they were bone dry.

You would think that the 5 people standing around to unload your bags can take a cart and fill up the water coolers... or hand you a few bottles of water.

They are only good at dishing out snide comments when asked about the water.

Greens were so shaggy the couse should have been named Scooby-Doo.

Heritage has heritage, what an experience

Our foursome was composed of a new golfer and a few old timers. Together we endured the challenge laid out by a superiorly designed course. I won.

Heritage Club - June 2022

Very beautiful course with some challenging holdes. Th only bad thing was they book the back 9 to golfers causing us to experience delays on the back when we made the turn. the fron played in 1.5 hours, the back played a little less than 3 hours. but I love the course and would play it again.

Golf now price is not what you will pay

I secured 18 with a cart on golf now for $104. When I get to the course they tell me I owe $41 dollars more. I argued for a bit and said to take it up with golf now. They weren’t going to let me play so I ended up paying the extra money and enjoying a 5.5 hour round. Playing in a threesome

What a great time

First I just got to say, the staff here is just awesome. The whole environment is exactly what most places should be all about which is just a lot of fun. The place was beautiful, had a friendly guy drive us over to the range, then back, they took care of our bags and carts, we went inside and grabbed a quick breakfast as it was included in our plan, as was lunch and two beers! It wasnt just some crappy lunch either it was order anything off the menu, it was fantastic. The starter gave us some great tips, he was really funny and just set the tone for the rest of the day. Compared to some of the other places we played like the River Club, this place actually wants you to have fun and enjoy your time. they treated us first class, provided a challenging course that was in top notch condition, the greens were beautiful but man were they difficult! What a great day, everyone in our group said that this place was a place that we will always have on our list to go play, and the staff and they way it was run first class is the main reason why. Great job everyone, cant wait to play there again soon!

This place is gorgeous. Unfortunately they cater to the members. As Green feer's we had to endure a pace of play behind a fivesome. This should never have been allowed on such a prestigious course. The staff do not have the balls to prevent this. Almost a 6 hour round. Will not be back. What a shame.

Constant Gem

Heritage never ceases to amaze me. The course itself is stunning with the mosses and layout. The greens are the best on the strand in my humble opinion and I have played over 20 different courses on the strand. What makes Heritage a 10/10 is the service. With your morning tee time you get breakfast which is a homeade bfast buffet with the best on the strand. We went to Eggs up grill and Sunny side up buffet on the strand and Heritages blew them out of the water. You also get a lunch voucher with your morning tee slot. So two meals for one round. The clubhouse and cart attendants are friendly as well. Lots of history with this place. Its my #1 in Myrtle Beach. You wont be disappointed even with its being $150.

Good bones but dated

This was probably a phenomenal course about a decade ago. The layout is interesting and challenging. However, the conditioning left something to be desired. And while the staff was very welcoming and responsive, overall the $100 greens fee was definitely overpriced. Compared to other courses in the area this is just an average golf experience. So while I would recommend it as a one time experience, I do so reluctantly. And I definitely would advise looking for some type of a reduced screen fee deal

Nice conditions but overpriced

The course was lovely but the driving range was crowded, the greens were a bit slow. Course in good condition. Great day but over priced.

My favorite!

Played over 70 courses in MB area and this is my #1 with Caledonia a close 2nd. Challenging design, plenty of length, some water holes with lots of wind. Great variety of holes. Greens were excellent, true and quick. Expected a slow round on a beautiful Sunday morning but we finished in just under 4 hours!
