Hill Country Golf Club - Lakes/Creeks
About
Spread across 200 scenic acres of rolling meadows and steep hillsides, Hill Country Golf Club offers 27 scenic holes of championship golf. Designed by renowned architectural firm Arthur Hills & Associates, Golf Digest considers it one of Texas’ best places to play. Each course covers a beautiful landscape of native oak, wildflowers, and cactus. The Lakes Nine is obviously characterized by the clear blue lakes that come into play throughout the course. There are also wooded ravines and strategically placed bunkers throughout the course for even more challenges. The Creeks Nine, named after the creeks that meander through the layout, this course demands accuracy with water coming into play on several holes and numerous strategically placed bunkers. In addition to the three nines, Hill Country Golf Club also offers a putting green and driving range.

Scheduling Issue / Unfriendly Staff
I show up 5 min late to my 1PM tee time. Gentleman who checks you in was rude calling out my last name as I was walking up telling me to hurry or I would need to wait an hour to golf, keep in mind I just finished paying $174 for my father and I to play here for the first time. Not only does he call us out but I didn’t even know where I was driving to as there are 3 different course layouts on the resort and I have no clue which one I’m starting off at. All of this for me to pull off to the Tee Box and have to wait for 3 gentlemen golfing in the middle of the fairway. They clearly need to adjust their scheduling and learn to cut off folks in order to allow them to enjoy their $’s worth of golf. I also had a senior trio playing behind my father and I talk crap the entire time hoping “we didn’t hold them up” horrible experience for my moneys worth. Definitely taking my $174 and golfing at a different course next time. The Hyatt seems to worry more about making $$$ and squeezing folks in rather than making it about the experience for their visitor.
Nice Layout
The layout is very well done, played the oaks and lake 9's...the conditions were better than many in the area, the greens rolled pretty well although their is some minor bare spots...the only issue was the tee boxes were a little suspect but overall the course was in good shape. depending on the tees playing the course is a challenge and not really for the beginner. The staff is very good...will be back
The course is an enjoyable layout. The staff is beyond exceptional,. everyone from the clubhouse to the grounds crew is extremely pleasant.
Vacation Texas
First time at this course , good greens, fairways and sand bunkers. Pace of play was good finished 18 in 4hrs 15 min. Played in February fairways still growing in from winter weather. We will definitely play again.
Well maintained over the years
One of the best resort courses in San Antonio. Among the best practice ranges in the city.
For the month of January, Hyatt was in great condition overall.
Great resort course
Pace of play is always pretty good. It is a resort so everyone in a good mood. Creeks and Lakes are perfect level for beginners and skilled players. The 3rd 9 is The Oaks. You'll pay if you can't keep it in the fairway.
Great course to play. The staff was very nice. Going to play again when the grass isn't dormant on the fairways. Greens were in good shape.
