Pajaro Valley Golf Club
About
Originally designed by Floyd McFarkland, Pajaro Valley Golf Club has large Monterey Pines lining its generous rolling fairways. Elevated tees provide scenic views of the Pajaro Valley below. Opened in 1922 and redesigned in 1962 by Robert Muir Graves, the course features small bentgrass greens and four ponds with water in play on three holes. The fourth is one of the course's most challenging holes, a 420-yard par 4 with triple-tiered green. The course also was once the home of former U.S. Open champion Olin Dutra, who spent the last part of his career teaching here.

Greatly improved course
I played this course 6 months ago and since then the course has greatly improved. The greens are great and the fairways are all green
Greena
I played here about one and half ago ,the course is greatly improved way better condition and the greens are in very good shape.
Pajaro
Greens are getting better. Condition has improved from spring when the course was not being maintained. Tee boxes still need work.
Country club golf
We played 27 holes in 4:10 min.The course was challenging and in good condition.Golf here is an extremely good value.I am looking forward to my next round at Pajaro Valley Golf Club and would Recommend to everybody.
Challenging but playable for high handicappers
Nice course in pretty good condition. Small greens are well protected by bunkers. Fairways are reasonably wide but trees can cause some problems on mishits. Some holes present significant elevation changes. We all felt it was a fun course to play.
We were disappointed that a fivesome was allowed to play right in front of us, which led to very slow play as that group had no desire to speed up play even though we were waiting for them at every tee box. I will be reluctant to play there again knowing that management allows this on busy days.
However, overall it was a fun, but slow, outing.
good place to play
Pajaro, on thanksgiving day, was a treat. The condition of the course was much improved since my last visit. The greens were still fast but receptive to approach shots. Fairways and rough were maintained nicely.
A great course.
It was a fun course too play and I would play it again the next time I come too Ca.
Great Views and Weather
Nice fast round on a Sunday morning 4 hours course was in great shape
The course is back.
The course is in great shape. My only complaint, is that almost everytime I play, my cart runs out of juice and I have to call the clubhouse so they can send out a different cart.
terrible greens and little grass
The greens are like a moonscape ...rough , bumpy and indentations everywhere. Unputtable really
Review
Good experience, I didn't have any food or beverage but I enjoyed the feel of the course. Plan to be back
Capital investments......finally!!
My buddy and I had just about given up on this course, but we were pleasantly surprised to see the greens and fairways had been groomed (even if the greens had been recently aerated.) We also so noticed that that the carts had new rubber on them and we did not have any issues with them during the round, although they could do a better job cleaning them. I have always like the lay out of this course and if the investment continues it could be come one of my favorites.
Had a great day
Noted much improvement in the course overall from when we played a few months ago.
A good value
This course is always a good value. Some very scenic holes. Some challenging ones too. Overall this is a course I will come back to often.
Great improvement
This course must be under new management; the fairways are in decent condition even with the severe drought. The staff even seems to be friendlier.
Fairways very poor
The course was not in vry good shape. There had not been any rain but the course was very wet and mushy. In some areas it was to wet to even hit from .
Layout / Scenery
Great location, very quiet .
My group had a good experience.
This course has a great features
This course is great course, i like it . But if it is improved ,maybe it is more great.
Needs Updating
Club house needs a major renovation. Greens were great 2 weeks ago, now they're bumpy with hard pan spots. With a little TLC, Pajaro could be a top notch course. Still a great value. Played for $32 with a cart on the weekend and got in all 18 holes with daylight to spare.
