GREENS
The fairways were great on the North and East courses but the greens leave alot to be desired!
Thank you for playing and hope to see you back out on the course soon!

Poor Drainage
I played a few days after a lot of rain. The started told me to go off on the Southwest Course, that it was moving fast, whereas the other course was crowded. What he didn't tell me was the reason. The fairways were soaking wet. The greens were fine and the tee boxes not bad, but everything in between was a swamp. Was a total waste.
A Nice Course
1) Layout: good layout
2) fairway and green: fairway is well maintained
Green is well designed and good conditions overall
3) Pace of play: great on a Monday afternoon . Don’t know about other times of the day and days of the week
4) Value: great value based on booking from Gilfnow
Unfortunately, for such nice greens, people don’t fix their ball marks. These are little things that people don’t pay attention to but it’s important to the Golf traditions and etiquettes. That makes golf different from other sports. I asked my golf companion whether he had a ball mark fixer and he said no! How can you fix a ball mark without the proper tool! I think the Marshall should ask all players before starting whether they have one in their bag. If not , give them one or sell them a cheap one and show them how to fix a ball mark.
Slow play ( not knowing how to move around a round) and no etiquette takes a way the enjoyment of a round !
After the snow
Considering a decent amount of snow and rain the week before course was in good shape. Grounds crew did a great job getting it open for the weekend!
Happy the snow is gone and hope to see you back out soon.

Great local course
As a senior member, I play at Compass Pointe 2/3 times per week. With having 2 courses (NorthEast, SouthWest), I never get tired of playing there. The course is always in great condition.
Jim - Great to hear! See you at the course soon!

Overpriced and Seriously Lacking
Paid $79 for a Tee Time in late November, pretty high but that's fair if the course + amenities are great. Starting with the course, we played SW and the course was overall nice but the fairways were cut way too thin in places making it very difficult to hit off. Better off hitting in the rough.
We started the round off with a Frost Delay, despite there not being freezing temps or close to for a week prior. That said, there was no ranger to keep pace of play and of course a slow 4-some held everyone up the entire 18 holes. This is where the lacking comes in play.
No ranger, no cart girl, no water on the course, no bathrooms on the course (one or two portapottys) and no water in the ball/club cleaner attached to the carts. The lack of water was chalked up to potential freezing, well going back to previous reviews they haven't had water during May. Speaking of the cart, it was horrendous and the oldest cart I ever rode in, and I've been golfing since 2004, I've rode in a few relics before. We had to swap our first cart at the turn as the cart was struggling to start (temp was 55) and the next one we received wasn't much better.
They seemed to have excuses across the board. Beyond the fake freezing argument (would love to hear what they said in May) they said they couldn't have a cart girl due to Covid. Really? It's Nov '23. Not one staff member was masked, no social distancing, and they allowed 2 people per cart; Which aren't Covid rules having played during then. They just don't want to pay for amenities.
Thank you for playing and we hope to see you back out soon!

Good course
Took my fiance out for her first round of golf. Chose a "Hot Deal" from Golf Now. Cost was appropriate for the time of day. Course conditions were very good. North/East can be very challenging on some holes. Staff was very nice as always.
Much improved course conditions
I’ve been playing this course for over 15 years. It’s the best condition the course has ever been in. Still a few ball marks on the greens but I blame that on the golfers not fulfilling their responsibilities. Starter was super friendly and accommodating.
Dear Crabboy2,
The greens should be healed nicely from aeration very soon. Also, with the West nine coming back online the stress on the other three will be reduced. Thank you for sharing your feedback.
