Great course
We travel down for the Nascar race each year and this is the one course we play every year.
Amazing Experience
Well worth the trip and an great challenge with some tight fairways and lots of hills. Riding only which is a good thing because you would be smoked walking between holes.
Not bad.
Beautiful layout, water on 10 holes. Small bag of range balls, driving range is short. When you play the hole behind it it’s hard to find you ball do to the range balls everywhere. Building feels old needs up dated. Staff was friendly and acted like they wanted you there makes you want to play it again. Parking lot needs work. All and all pretty nice place probably would not go out of my way to play it.
Fantastic course layout , very challenging.
Loved the course very beautifull and well laid out .
Bring golf balls
I have played at Gunter's Landing so many times through out the years. Recall it was a 9 hole course when it first opened. I find this course extremely challenging to me a 20 hncp golfer. I make sure I bring plenty of golf balls.
Example is the 10th hole par 3 over a ravine. Over club and you are in a down hill sand trap. Hit shot and you wind up in the ravine.
Gunter hills & water
lived here in Alabama 50 years, I’m 75. I’ve seen this grow from 9 holes in a trailer to 18 glorious holes and a beautiful clubhouse. Alabama is booming. HSV got 100 families per month coming to live here. (There are 26,090 job opening in April 2023)
This is a very difficult course to play. a lost of golf balls. If you don’t know it, you’ll lose balls in the bush so easily I hadn’t played out here. in five years they made major improvements on it. It’s just a terrific course from a 20 handicap.
I can’t handle it and I didn’t see any senior tees
