Indigo Creek Golf Club
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Had a great time and look forward to my next vacation to play another.
U need to carry a piece of AstroTurf in order to hit ball from dirt fairway. Tees fine, greens need talc but put true.
Very friendly staff
The staff was great, and so was the price we got, but the course was not in good shape. Didn’t measure up to the other courses we’ve played around here.
Cross off your list
The course fairways need work. Same with the greens. Even for March, the course should have been in better condition. Bathroom located inconveniently at 8th hole and the normal placement of 13th hole. The 19th hole offered inexpensive drinks and good food. Friendly staff and 19th hole were the best of the course. Sorry to have this course crossed off my list because I like the layout.
Ok layout - Very wet, sloppy conditions - no grass to speak of in fairways. Greens ok, very slow and inconsistent. No pro shop in which to purchase accessories- no ball washers on course, which are necessary when you play 18 holes in muck.
A very nice course, the greens were in great shape
We really appreciate you leaving a review and rating us. We will inform the entire team, so they know their hard work is paying off. We look forward to having you back!
I'm a mid handicap player who played this course 25 years ago. It was a terrific course then, but now....I'm not a person who normally 'flames' any kind of online product but, I have to say, this course is in awful shape. I know they replaced their greens last year and, supposedly, they're replacing their bunkers, but my complaints go 'way past that. This course should've been over-seeded years ago but, alas, they didn't. It's been well over a month since this area got significant rain, but every drive plugged in the fairway, and after cleaning my ball could not find any grass to hit off. I played with two members, and they told me that even in the summer the locals move their ball from the fairway to the rough so they have some grass to hit off.
I got a 'Hot Deal" from GolfNow for $37. and feel that if I'd paid $20. I still wouldn't have been very happy. The thing that kills me is that the place was packed today (which is great) but how much nicer would it have been if there were grass fairways, bunkers with sand instead of mud, and greens that were 'readable'. Tough to putt when they're beige.
I apologize for my honesty. I'm not proud of this review.

Average course,bunkers need serious attention
Average course needs little more TLC and bunkers need a good bit of help.$35 is a fair price but I wouldn't see fit paying more until everything is up to date
Thank you so much for taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass along your feedback to the staff. We hope to have you back in the future.
Fun to play
Played on Christmas Day and was a lot of fun. Course layout is good. There are some challenging holes and some good scenery. You can tell the greens were redone, but they did a nice job restoring them. I would definitely play here again

Had a great round at Indigo, staff very friendly and course has in pretty good shape for the season. The course is layed out nicely with a good mix of dog legs and water hazards and rolls in the fairways. We will most certainly be back.

Two couples playing this course for the first time; terrific experience. Great layout; refurbished greens and super layout with lots of water and wildlife to enjoy. The staff was very friendly. We had a great round and lunch & beers to follow....would definitely return.

Hi there. Thank you so much for the review. We are glad you had a 4-star experience and we hope to see you again soon!
This course is conveniently located to where I stay in Surfside Beach. The course layout is good and challenging enough for someone who only plays 20 rounds a year.
It is November golf where over seeding has occurred and there has been a fair bit of rain. A number of wet spots on the course. The greens were in great shape and ran true.
We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
Tight but fair
Played Indigo Creek in a steady wind, which made the tight fairways tough to hit. The greens are on the smaller side, so that was tough also. Course is in good condition although the greens were a little slow. All in all, a good value and fun place to play.

Once we got onto the course it was a decent track and value for your money. However teeing off was delayed by 30 minutes due to no carts, but once we got out there pace of play was fine.
We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars. We hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
It had rained almost 1 inch the nite before; tee boxes and faiways sloppy and free standing water. Greens drained nicely. It was worth the money but wished for better playing conditions.
Tight but fair
Nice course since the greens have been replaced. Everyone was friendly and helpful. A little tight in areas so keep you shots on target. Greens tend to be a bit small from what I'm used to. Had the course to ourselves on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
The work on the course has turned out great, The course is in really great shape after all the work that was completed this summer. Money well spent on a great track.
