This short hole requires precise landing (lots of loft!), with the green having cliffs on 3 sides! Photo submitted by joelhulen on 05/31/2014

Greens Are Brutal
I’m a newer golfer & feel fairly comfortable on the course but need a lot more consistency. This is NOT a course for beginners. I chose it because it was close to a meeting I had and it’s length was reasonable. I read the reviews and thought I’d give it a try. While for the money it’s a good deal it is a difficult course. Minimal flat fairways. You’re either going way uphill or way downhill. I have no idea how many greens have any flat area but the number is small so even if you get in a green - good luck. Get a cart as you’ll need it on the back 9 not just to find your ball but to keep the pace of play going. Staff and playing partners were very friendly and helpful. Driving range is CLOSED for repairs.
Small yet challenging course
Best value for a quick 18 hole in the LA area. Par 60 with short par 3s but the greens are super challenging making the course complex. Always a great time here enjoying the view and the unique terrain.
Best view in the West
Scholl Canyon Golf Course is a lovely public Southern California mountaintop short course - 18 holes of varying difficulty and fun terrain, a few par 4's, mainly par 3's, with breathtaking views of the entire Los Angeles Basin. On-line bookings, pro shop, and electric carts available.
Double charged
Got charged for 1 player missing. Total of 4 people arrived to the course and individually paid at the course. Since I made the reservation I got charged again because someone at the course decided to.
Great course and great views
I used to play here all the time when I lived in Glendale, so when I saw a hot deal and a promo code in my inbox I knew I had to go back! It’s just as fun as it used to be and they have a track man range now which is awesome. We hope to return here next year with a full 96 player shotgun tournament. Great views, fast play, friendly staff. Birdies Tour 2023 let’s go!
It’s Okay
Played here many a time. Overall, average. Dude running the pro shop, sucks. Otherwise, this place is rad. Snack bar lady, rocks my socks.
Great short game course
This is a short course with 6 par 4s and the rest par 3s. I don’t usually hit driver at all, but you can on the park 4s if you want, but it’s not easy to land the ball safely. This course looks easy because of its length, but the difficult greens and tight undulating fairways balance it out. You can easily lose balls if you don’t have control of your distance and aren’t straight. Don’t get me wrong, It’s a municipal course and doesn’t pretend to be a private county club, but if you want to work on your short game and play in about 2.5 hours or less this is great value.
Best I've seen the greens, folks
Most people do NOT repair their ball marks on greens. Please, please PLEASE get a repair tool, and fix 4 green dings, in addition to your own. That's the only way the rock can roll true, people. The folks at Scholl are working hard to make it RIGHT. Help them help us have nice greens.
Lost precision pro
Why do golfers leave their ball marks. The greens are very tricky. It the golfers there don’t do their part. It’s a shame. I left the yardage laser in the cart
Called them up, remembered and have the cart number
The cart crew did not turn it in, or the person I talked to made no effort to check.
I think that says a lot just there.
Charged twice
I was charged a fee for not playing, when in fact I checked in and played on the day and time of my tee time
Rough course - shot 2 holes in one
No kidding, I actually shot one hole in one on 17 and had it bounce out of the cup on 7 - so it was a great day. Other than that the cart didn't make it up the hills, the grass is pretty unkempt and overall the course is very tight and rough. Other than that it beats a day at the office.
