Will the course stay this way?
It's in great condition overall. Better than the 150 and and up dollars a round socal has. This course has a bad habit of getting to tour condition and the next month it's trash. We will see if the can be consistent. For now it's the best value around. For now anyway.
Good condition
The course was in good shape overall. Greens rolled well but a bit soft. Pace of play was a bit slow (5 hours with a 750 tee time).
Nice for the money
This is my home course, I have played it at least 50 times, and for the most part, it is good.
The pace of play is a bit slow, they pack the course with 7 minutes between. I wish they had a better range facility, bunker, and chipping.
1st teebox
Course is in decent shape.. not sure why the prices have been bumped up… but the biggest mistake this course makes is the starter sending groups down to the 1st teebox while guys are teeing off. Please hold the groups back until they leave the box and get to the fairway. So annoying hearing idiots talk in your back swing and carts noises. The starter should know bwtter
Rude Staff
Great course, rude and unprofessional staff. Cart problems, slow food service 45 mins for a chicken quesadilla. Wack Marshall picking on our group telling us to play from the red tees for pace of play even though every hole was a ten minute wait at least to tee off.
Great conditions
The course is in great green carpet conditions. I would have given a 5 for conditions but the same problem persists on 3, 12 and 15 which are starting to die in spots. I hope they figure out this problem.
The bunkers are in good shape except the non edicuit players dont think they have to rake them because its never enforced. If you analyze this another way , yoy look at the cheap garbage rakes that are provided and in limited quantity. You put in bunkers the size of a greyhound bus and little rakes nade for a childs sandbox and say ok golfer, you walked 20 feet into the bunker after you walked all the way around the bunker to get the one toy rake provided. While everybody waits you try to rake yours and other food prints on your way out which has a limited result. 2 or 3 minuted from rake search to rake out, if you rake at all, but keep up with the group in front of you. Golf courses contribute to their own slow play..
The other thing, like some competitors, you can reserve only 2 to 4 players for advanced tee times. This is absurd on its face to block out singles which are a high percentage of players. This is nanagement ignorance to the root of the claimed priblem that singles often dont show up without calling. If thats the case then why isnt management charging the ones that no show? You dont follow your own policy by prepaid reservations taking them over the phone.
Yoy ruin it for all single pkayers because of your own policy ignorance. Singles are a part of the game but you cannot manage your own golf course you make the singles suffer.
You have a sister course in Norco that does this and there are a lot of tee times open daily that wont be filled except some the day of play.
Manage your tee times and nake the no shows pay so singles and make advanced reservations again
Go Early & Bring Bug Spray
Went out to SL today for the first time ever, nice track. Just has a lot of mosquitoes early in the morning but I’m sure that’s everywhere this time of year. Friendly staff & fun course to play.
Weekend rate is a little high but the weekday rate is fair if you ever find this course on a Hot Deal I would take it, most definitely will be back to play again. 1 bad hole with heat stress currently but not that big of a deal.
Weekend Golfer
Had a good day at Sierra Lakes, the pace was a little slow but not to bad took us 5 hours to play our round. Folks need to be realistic when choosing which tees to hit from. The group in front of us chose to play the blues and they struggled from there but over all had a good time. Meet some nice guys that played with us.
