Good Course, but Can be Better!
The fairways on the golf course aren't in the best condition; they lack the lush green appearance that is expected. However, I strongly believe that this course has the potential to be one of the best in LA if the management pays more attention to maintenance and improvements.
Having played here for two years now, I have noticed that there has been a lack of progress regarding certain amenities. One major disappointment is the absence of a restaurant on the premises throughout this time. A restaurant would greatly enhance the overall experience for golfers and visitors, providing a much-needed place to relax and enjoy some refreshments.
In summary, while the golf course has potential, it is essential for the management to focus on enhancing the fairways' condition and address the lack of amenities like a restaurant to truly elevate the course's appeal and make it a top-notch destination in LA. I hope these concerns can be addressed, and I look forward to seeing positive changes in the future.
Great course
Hard and beautiful course, green were very slow and fairway really hard but fun

High Price Low Experience
My son and I played 6/23 6:30am Tee time. $185/pp
Checked in at 6am and asked for a reminder of the driving range location to warm up. We were told it’s over the bridge on the right. We drove over to hit a few and it doesn’t open until 9. Maybe fill us in on that detail before we drive over??
Then, we were told it’s a back 9 start as well. So we tee off as a twosome on 10. Quick 1:30 minute 9 was fun and pace is great because no one is in front of us. Visit the snack window and no one to be seen for 8-10 minutes.
Finally someone helps us and we hustled to number 1. There’s a 3some halfway down and a single asked to join us because he was late getting to the tee box for the 3 in front of us. So they only had us start on 10? The solo did not take our hint that we wanted to stay a 2some for pace and insisted on joining. The “back” took 50 minutes longer to play.
Again, the pro shop could just communicate that we’d have groups in front at the turn and our experience would have been better.
For 185, this is unacceptable. For 50, it’s tolerable.
Course was in good shape. No Marshall for slow pace though? Probably my last round there unless it’s severely discounted.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize for the miscommunication regarding the driving range hours and the back 9 start. We understand that these details affected your experience and we appreciate your feedback.
Definitely not worth the money
Reserved a tee time for 6:30 AM and arrived promptly at 5:45 AM. Pro shop is closed and nobody around. They opened at 6 Am in summer when sunrise was 5:40 AM 😳
They charged $185 for the round. The course is decent but worth anything close to $185. Probably worth $75 to $85. Definitely not worth repeating. SKIP!

in and Out in less than 4 hours
Pace of play is great on this course. Not crowded so can easily finish round in 4 hours or less. Good layout and challenging course. Only complaint is that always start on the Back 9 instead of hole 1.
Hello, u000002563098. Thank you for visiting us at Angeles National Golf Club. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
Worth the money
Have seen lots of negative reviews from yelp, most of them actually complained about the service, bad service or no service. I actually don’t mind of lacking bev carts. It’s worthy!

fantastic value
easily the nicest publicly accessible golf course that i have played in the LA area. our tee time was around 130pm on a thursday and there was barely anybody there. the cafe was closed/closing down by the time we were hitting the turn which was surprising but no complaints otherwise. tightly mowed fairways, nice design, beautiful landscaping. not an easy course but not too difficult for a mid/high handicapper
Wow! We are so happy you enjoyed your round, u314163643158! We look forward to seeing you again soon at Angeles National Golf Club.

Hard course but fun
First time I played this course. It’s very hard, narrow end. Lots of obstacles to shoot over and around but it’s a ton of fun and the surroundings are beautiful.

Not worth it. No amenities and slow even when it’s empty.
I booked through golf now, tried to cancel within 48 hours but they couldn’t get anyone on the phone (golf now or course)in time..booked 50 hours out. Then was credited by golf now for a full amount, not to my card, but a credit for rounds. Figured I’d give it another shot, was trying to book and I couldn’t use my credits…even though it was less that what my credit was for..got charged again for a full round, so we played. Back 9 start on the day, pretty open…so far so good. Get to 1 to for what’s now out back 9 and there’s a group on the green, in the fairway and on the tee box..plus us. Waited 30 minutes to talk to the guy in the pro shop to ask what was going on and he didn’t know why. So he was nice enough to let us play the back 10 again cause it was “open”, until we got 2 holes in and then we waited again on every hole. So I’m out $400 for 4 tee times and I’ve played 9 holes twice and it was sub par!! Sad face

Sub-Pay Jack Nicklaus Course...
Alright, finally got to check this course off the bucket list. It's quite a drive so I was super excited to play here.
The Good
- The course was well-kept from tee to green, absolutely no complaints there!
- Cool layout for a course in the LA area, which is on the "rarer" side.
Unfortunately, that's about it as far as the things I liked...
The Bad
- For a Jack Nicklaus course, you would expect more. While the course has character and the layout is fun, it really lacks any unique character. It feels like a knock-off Nicklaus course.
- The price is outrageous. I got a super lucky deal for $60, and would not pay more than $80 to play here.
- You have no idea what the greens look like because most of the shots going in are blind or the green is perched behind a bunker, hill, etc.
- Overall, the course charges way too much because it's the only exclusive NICKLAUS designed course in LA. It's well maintained and a fun track, but don't expect too much from it.
