Rating 68.3

Editor's Note: Course closed for the 2019 and 2020 season.

The golf course at Park Hill Golf Club is a regulation length 18-hole course that is open to the public. It is 7,268 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. Clark Hamilton designed the course that opened in 1931. The course is relatively flat and features many bunkers. In later renovations to the course, over one hundred trees were planted to liven and enrich the landscape. A lake provides water hazards that come into play on two of Park Hill Golf Club's holes. The well-kept course is good for beginners or for any level of golfer who is looking to get some good practice.

Decent City Course

Decent city course for the price. Good for early season and late season golf. Pace is slow (~4:45). Played there 3 times and always slow.

Good Course for Average golfer

Even though a few greens are rough, the course was in good conditions and staffs are very friendly. The course settings are good for average golfers just like me ( 14 handicaps). I enjoyed to play in the course.

Nice open driving range

Driving range was very open and long. I felt as if I could let it fly with no worries of hitting the ball over the range. Fairways were in great shape for winter falling upon us. Greens you could tell were starting to go dormant, ball really bounced around, ( still shot handicap though). Pace was ok, could have played a little faster but I was able to establish a groove and maintain for the most part. Great starter course for intermediate players.

Ego Boost

Park Hill is a friendly place with nice staff and arguably the easiest scoring conditions in the Denver area. Greens were in better-than-average condition and relatively easy to read. Fairways had some strange grasses and lies were unpredictable. And although this course was never much of a design, the re-routing of several holes to make way for cheap housing, shopping and road widening/moving has created a hodgepodge of strange holes. That said, playing the course is not an unpleasant experience and worth the effort as long as the fees are slightly lower than other courses in the area.

OLD SCHOOL IN NE DENVER

Good old school course in NE Denver.
Wide fairways, enough trees to give shade and not be in the way if you're straight.
Greens need some work - PLEASE repair your ball marks, it's just not that tough!!! If repaired at once, heals in a few days - if not, takes weeks or months.

Nice condition for a city course

The course was in very nice condition but it was pretty boring. It was ok for a city course but I've played better for less money. I would not play it again only because I love views and interesting holes.

Flat & forgiving course

great course for high to mid handicappers as there is plenty of room to miss. Not very long course so short hitters are not punished. I'm a 11 handicap and shot a 1 over par round the first time out. Course conditions were very good considering all the rain the Denver area received this year. Great value!

In better shape that in the past.

This course is in better shape than in the past. It is central for city golfers and getting Tee times easier than other courses. The staff in the starter house are friendly and accomodating. The restaurant folks are friendly and the food is very, good prices. The drive around cart people do a good job. I will recommend this course to fellow golfers.

Nice easy course.

Was convenient and played pretty quickly on a Monday. Course was in good shape - greens were nice. Did not make use of restaurant and there was no cart on the course for beverages.

Pace a little slow even for a Saturday

The pace of play was a little slow even for a busy Saturday and there did not seem to be a course marshal around to speed things up.

Park Hill

Course was in good shape but every other course is also due to all the rain. Course is very poorly marked for distances. The only distances you will find are on the tee and the 150 yd. marker. Play is slow and no rangers on the course to keep things moving. On some holes fairways are not clearly defined. Tee boxes should have been mowed days ago.

Best Pace Place

Parkhill is one of many favorites I learned to play on and it still remains a good selection for beginners. I played at Willis Case the day before and it was horrible, it took almost 6 hours!!! What a joke!! They stack it up every time like we are Sardines!! It was Great to play at a consistent pace at Parkhill the next day and generally most times we play there.

Nice city course

The facilities feel very dated but the course itself was much better than I expected for early season. Wide fairways and not much trouble left or right. Even high handicappers can shoot a good score here. Pace of play was VERY good (3 hrs). Due to a lot of rain the days before there was standing water in some of the (few) bunkers and cartpath only which means you are better off walking....

Overcharged

I was charged more than the golf now quoted rate. I didn't notice until the following day, contacted the pro shop but have not gotten a return call and/or credit.

The greens were in very poor condition. It looked like fungus or some type of disease. Hopefully, they can restore to an acceptable level.

Wide open spaces

Park Hill is a difficult place to lose balls. Wherever you hit there is a pretty good chance your next shot is playable. If you can play during the week the pace of play is typically less than 4 hours, on the weekend it's considerably slower. Great place to shoot well for average golfers.
