Park Hill Golf Club
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for the 2019 and 2020 season.
The golf course at Park Hill Golf Club is a regulation length 18-hole course that is open to the public. It is 7,268 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. Clark Hamilton designed the course that opened in 1931. The course is relatively flat and features many bunkers. In later renovations to the course, over one hundred trees were planted to liven and enrich the landscape. A lake provides water hazards that come into play on two of Park Hill Golf Club's holes. The well-kept course is good for beginners or for any level of golfer who is looking to get some good practice.

Perfect course for a beginner
I'm new-ish to golf, and this course was absolutely perfect for my needs. Course wasn't in that great of conditions, but I assume most courses aren't this summer with the lack of rain and snow.
No complaints! Had a fantastic time at this course.
The pace of play was fairly, though it slowed on the second nine. The greens were in good shape and same with the tee boxes. The fairways were brown and in need of fertilizer and watering.
Course is drying up
Our tee time was double booked !! 11:06 because we used golf now we were bumped to 11:25 so just made for a longer day AWFUL
Slow Play
I understand it was busy but 3 hours for the front 9 is unreasonable...there was a foursome 2 groups ahead that by the end of the round was 2 holes behind...where was the marshal?
I good day.
It was a relatively nice day, though it got windy towards the end of the round. It seemed like it was slow play, but it was under 4 hrs, so not so bad.
It's Park Hill
My only complaint was the pace of play. 3 hours for 9 holes is terrible, 5 hours, 20 minutes for 18 is just as bad. They have no marshalls to move people along and that is unacceptable.
Fun time
Was able to go out for 18 with my son. Was my Father’s Day gift. Included, thanks to him, beer and chips. I raised him right!
Course is a little rough and flat. Large greens, few bunkers, one pond that’s not an issue, and porta potties.
But it’s a fun wide open course that is just plain fun and interesting and generally a bargain.
Employees are nice and make sure to have lunch as they make a great sandwich.
However, rumor is it might be sold, and much like the rest of Denver every bit of green is doomed for condo’s, 7 elevens and Starbucks.
Except the tops of buildings which are legislated to have a soccer field or garden of beans grown on them. I’m waiting for the first lawn mower to run off a 14 story high rise to their death, or crush some poor sap below. And you’ll need flood insurance if the sprinkler system breaks.
Anyway to loose this jewel would be a huge loss to the nearby residents and even those of us that drive an hour to get there.
This course in in TERRIBLE SHAPE all other Denver courses and surrounding area courses are in very nice shape
This course is great for juniors.
After we checked in and went to the putting green, there was some guy pacing back and forth hitting one ball and not really putting. He just kept walking and hogging the middle of the putting green and kept talking loud and yelling about Obama and Trump and kept glaring at everybody around the putting green.
Really found it disturbing that he was not asked to leave the area and everytime one of us was up to tee off on 1, he would stop at that part of the putting green and would yell and glare at all of us. Not sure what his problem was and how long he stayed there, but was gone when we turned for the back 9.
Other than that we had a great time and always do at the course.
Good Value and nice course
Mostly quite and you often don't notice that you are right in the city. Got a good deal on golf now that included cart but a good walking course which is what I may do next time.
Greens were good some of the fringes were a little rough. Friendly staff and a good restaurant and cart staff as well.
Despite recent reviews, it’s starting to come back
The course still needs some work but it’s starting to come back. With that said, I wish prices were a little cheaper during this transition period. I’ve played this course close to ten times so I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the in-between. Pace of play will always be an issue on this layout so plan on a 4-4.5 hour round, sometimes 5 during peak weekend hours. No hazards so you’re safe if you slice or duck hook on most drives...hence the pace of play (waiting for other players to hit off your fairway).
Great course to get out there and work on your long irons if you’re playing from the tips. Give it a month or two and things will start to shape up...hopefully
Good value
Greens were pretty uneven, rough but they were being repaired. Very nice staff and rest of course in good shape.
2-3 groups per hole
We knew we were in trouble when the starters were extra giggly school girls and warning of slow play at 924 on a Saturday, but why? It’s too early for that after 2 days of rain. #1 a par 5 should be anticipated 2-3 groups to be on it, but we waited at EVERY single tee box for the group in front of ours to then tee off. I also anticipate fuller courses this year with City Park not being around, but why not enforce/encourage 4 hour rounds rather than booking to the gills? What encourages me to come back especially with patchy greens and stumps uprooted everywhere?
Fix the Greens
I have plays here a lot in the couple of years and I have never seen the greens in such bad shape. They need to repair the greens or they will totally lose them.
very reasonable
I like the course &its staff but don't like filling a review everytime I play
Good course layout.
Course is fun to play however the greens are very rough and need to be replaced. Not much danger on the holes but definitely a fun course to shot low on.
Terrible greens
The course itself isn't the worst. Easy to play except the greens are ridiculous. So bumpy and patchy it's insane. Good thing this place is cheap!
