Park Hill Golf Club
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for the 2019 and 2020 season.
The golf course at Park Hill Golf Club is a regulation length 18-hole course that is open to the public. It is 7,268 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. Clark Hamilton designed the course that opened in 1931. The course is relatively flat and features many bunkers. In later renovations to the course, over one hundred trees were planted to liven and enrich the landscape. A lake provides water hazards that come into play on two of Park Hill Golf Club's holes. The well-kept course is good for beginners or for any level of golfer who is looking to get some good practice.

Quick play
The course conditions were very good. We played in 3.5 hours. The greens were in great shape and a little soft from the rain. Will be back
Saturday afternoon
Nice course, good greens, shaggy tee boxes, slow play, about 5 hours to complete. Open, not much water or traps, or long rough.
Simple and fun.
This is just a very simple track yet it's still very fun to play. This is a very straight forward course that isn't going to throw you any curveballs. Great course for beginners. Forgiving off the tee and no part of this course is going to beat you up. Very friendly staff. Course was in great shape when I played. Some Fairways were very soggy and water soaked but even with that the course played great. I would recommend this course to anyone who wanted to have a laid back round where you are going to have fun.
Amazing Times
I have played this couse a few times.
-Always love it
-long, open, straight holes
-overall great expirience
Very well maintained
It's a very old course but very well maintained and an easy course to play. Very flat. The greens were excellent but somewhat slow. Other than the very windy conditions it was a very pleasurable experience for me and my wife. When I was working I used to play 9 holes at 6am and then go into work. At lunch I would have a sandwich in the club house and then hits balls and then go back to work. It was handy for me as I worked very close by. ( I was also a much better golfer back then)! Brought back good memories.
Thomas B
Absolutely no dress code, gym shorts and wife beater seams to be just fine with the management. There's no Marshalls to be found, young kids racing golf carts and driving over the greens.
Good course
Gun course that's forgiving. Wish they would trim the 3rd cut a rough a little better. Would help pace of play so people aren't spending time looking for balls.
Great confidence building course
Push a drive, pull a drive and you can still make par. Hole placement makes this course more difficult on maturing greens.
Needs work
Some greens still need help as do most sand traps. Fairways and rough were in fair shape but had several spots that need work.
Play here only if you have 5.5 hours
I've played Park Hill many times. It's close to home and reasonably priced, but I'm not sure I'll be back because the play was so agonizingly SLOW. We had a late afternoon tee time with five hours to get a round in before dark, but we still played 17 and 18 in essentially unplayable light. First, they bunch the groups too close together, so we went off almost 15 minutes after our tee time. Then they made no effort whatsoever to keep slow groups moving. When we were on 12 green, we could see that a group on 14 green was three holes out of position. Three holes! We called the pro shop and asked them to send someone out. They said they would but just basically lied to get us off the phone I suppose. They never sent anyone. Including our foursome, there were an incredible 6 groups between 12 green and 14 green. Inexcusable really. With one of the main complaints in golf being slow play, you'd think they'd care a little more. They've lost our business anyway.
This course is great for weekend golfers
I had a fabulous time. I'm playing there again tomorrow
Decent, straightforward course with roads nearby
I hadn't played this course in 20+ years. It was a fun walk back into the past. What I remembered was a straightforward, flat course with roads nearby that could make you tremble for fear of causing a multi-car pileup. Well, it is that, but the risk of pulling or hooking a tee shot isn't as much as it had grown in my memory. In fact, you can fairly easily avoid that with a conservative go-to-shot. The course is only 6357y from the back tees, 5189 from the front tees. It's a good course for those earlier in their golfing careers as a result. Water really is limited for hazards, and the rough isn't terribly rough. Dandelions, though, can present a challenge for hiding slightly wayward shots. So, yellow or bright pink may be a good color choice for times like now. With us 3 walkers, we did the round in 3:45 easily, even letting a single in a cart play through. I can imagine this might be a cooker in the middle of summer if the highs are in the 90s with relatively few trees. Fortunately, it was in the 60-70s and very pleasant.
Cool lay out, expected more for age
First time to Denver and felt this course left a bit to be desired. Not particularly difficult to navigate with low amount of water and sand, greens are not protected too much so higher scores are easier to come by :) The pace of play was not good, 5.5 hours for a round. The course did not resemble the beauty I have witnessed in this fine city. It's too bad because the layout is very good.
A Great Day
The course was in good shape. Fairways are very open for a beginner. A few challenging par 5's. Would definitely return.
Course needs work
Greens in terrible condition, fairways decent, potholes on cart paths. Only played 10 holes due to weather conditions
