Baneberry
Course had greens coring and sanding on front nine so we played back nine twice. however the price was right for conditions. Fees were a too large portion of price--roughly 33%
nice course, great staff
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Greens were a little weedy and had some bad spots.
Good Deal
Course in nice shape few rough green but most ok bathroom on each nine is a good thing ...good time good deal
zeke
fairways and greens in best shape of any course ive played this year.
Good shape and good pace
Got it for a decent price, had the course to ourselves and course was in pretty good shape.
cheap to play
First time playing the course. Location hard to find, and when I finally arrived, you are behind the clubhouse, if that's what you can call it. Seemed like an older facility. Driving range was away from clubhouse, and had no putting or chipping area. Very rough cart paths. They are mostly gravel and full of holes. Number 10 hole is combined with driving range, so if people are using driving range, then you better be prepared for possibility of getting hit with a range ball. The best thing about the course was the friendly staff. A few greens were really in terrible shape. Some tee areas were hard to find and really not marked very well. Seems like a lot of complaining, but once you have played on a more up to date course, this one just does not fit in. Cheap to play, and if I can find another cheap rate, I'll play there again.
Baneberry golf club
Course in great shape from tee box through each green. Price very reasonable. glad I used golf now beecause clubhouse personnel couldnt figure out issues with computer and register. They also had alot to be desired in demeanor and customer service.
The greens will bring me back.
Baneberry Golf & Country Club had avg.course conditions when I played, but the greens were in wonderful shape! Very few ball marks, and they putted very smooth & true all day. They are medium in size, but many holes have openings in front of the greens, so you can bounce it up, if needed. Most of the greens have gentle sloping run off areas, so the golfer who misses a green, still has the opportunity to chip it up & down, to save par. Mostly flat, w/ a few elevation changes, the holes are still interesting, and there are a few "risk-reward" holes that I love to play. Very affordable, w/ great greens, so I'll be back.!
Dogwoods in Bloom
The course was Great with all the Dogwoods in full bloom.Greens were in excellent shape.GPS was very nice.
This course is beautiful
This is a course that would be beautiful in full bloom in spring and summer. It is a challenging course. We enjoyed it and want to play again.
Great course.
We played the day after Christmas and my wife said we were crazy for playing when it was that cold. But, we shed jackets after the second hole. GPS on every cart. Friendly staff. Nice design.
Excellent over all course.
I have to say the greens were in excellent condition for fall. The GPS that was onboard is outstanding. The staff is extremely friendly as well.
Great Course
First time to play this course. I will more than likely go back. Couldn't beat the price from GolfNow.
The course is close to residences, and so there are a lot of out of bounds.
All in all I enjoyed my day of golfing.
Long Drive
Drove 62 miles one way to play this course, the green fees were cheap, but add in the cost of fuel and I don't think I would make that trip again. Some of the greens had bad spots, but overall they were OK....not great. The houses that line the course were a little too close for my comfort. The greens were soft and even my chips would leave divots. Now on the other extreme were the fairways, they were hard and tough to hit off of. I did like the GPS mounted in the carts, however they only gave distances not a site picture. I would have rather seen that money go into the course than into GPS systems for each cart. If you live close and don’t mind rock hard fairways, the price is right. If you are planning to travel from afar, recommend you stick closer and pay a little more.
Liked the course layout, water hazards are there but fairly placed.
The course was a little dry and brown in places but it is fall and we haven't had rain a about a week. I wish that they had more ball washes, only recall about four or five on 18 holes.
Nice course
Great course definitely better now than it ever has been. Great deals on golfnow to play here it's definitely worth the money
Comfortable course
Nothing fancy about the club house, but the staff was super friendly and we enjoyed the GPS on the carts. The course is nestled in amongst homes and condos, and there is an occasional glimpse of the "aah"" Smokies.. This is a pretty straight forward layout with lots of straight fairways and just a few minor doglegs and a couple of elevated greens. Speaking of the greens....they had recently been thatched and there were quite a few bumps, so putting was frustrating.(somewhat to be expected with golf in the fall). This is a very comfortable course, even for a novice player. The women's tees are very friendly, with a rating of 68. It was nice to play a new course and walk away with a good score....a great confidence boost.
another great hot deal
Once again another great hot deal. The course wasn't perfect but for $15 ,I won't complain. And it has been my experience ,I can walk in earlier than my tee time and get started playing.Which is nice for the summer heat.I think most courses, except country clubs really start showing end of season wear and tear.Even the ones where I pay a premium to play.LOOK FOR THE DEALS
Patience Necessary
This is a challenging course, with a good mix of tough shots and some straight away "go for it' shots. There are plenty of hazards, but the GPS carts give you plenty of information about where the hazards lie and information on how to play the hole. Distances to hazards, and carry distance, are very helpful. There did not seem to be a lot of places on the course where bad lies, such as feet way above or below the ball came into play unless you really hit a clunker. The long'ish par 3's are much more fun than the 100 yard pitching wedge par 3's at a lot of courses.
Course was in good condition, even with excessive rainfall.
The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Played with my daughter in preparation for a tournament, and they provided course books for her and her friend at no charge, and gave them to all the players the next day during the tournament. Will definitely play there again soon, with dryer conditions.
