About
The California Golf Course sits on land that slopes gently and offers a nice view of the Ohio River; however, this course ain't just pretty to look at, but laid out to play in a manner that will test seasoned golfers and welcome novices to the friendly golf course where the trees are old growth.
California Golf Course provides 18 holes of par-71 golf over 6,227 yards. A round of golf kicks off on a par-4 hole that plays to 367 yards from the Blue tees. Because this is one of Cincinnati's longer municipal golf courses, power golfers will appreciate the chance to open up their games a bit more, with about a third of the holes measuring over 400 yards from the Blue tees, including a pair of par-5 holes, the second and ninth holes.
As the California Golf Course is a municipal golf course, expect low rates, and those who can swing a round of golf during the workweek can expect them to be even lower.

Course was in great shape and played very fair especially for the time of year. Some interesting hole designs and none of the “weird” hole defenses I’ve seen at other municipal courses in the area. Very good value for money
Fun track
You need to be straight off the tee, especially on the back 9. They have some interesting holes, most noticeably the Par 3 13th with two greens and an elevated tee box.
course review
love the course but I think they need to mark with arrows which way to go on the cart path for the next hole. we saw others not knowing where to go also. But the greens were in great shape. I wish people knew how to repair divots.
I will be back to play again. We thought it was great.
A little slow
Nice staff, everyone was friendly.

Great municipal course
We played on a Sunday afternoon. 3 of us paired with a single who was great and we enjoyed playing with him. The course was in reasonable condition but the lay out and surroundings are much nicer than other muni courses near us. Pretty course with hill and trees and some water. Not particularly tough but fun to play amd a good value for the money.
Grandson Won Again
Took grandson to California Golf Course for his first time. We had a great day, even though he beat me. The club house person was very friendly and courteous. The Starter was also friendly. The course was to our liking due to length of the rough and fairways were in good shape also.
California Golf
Greens were tight and challening. Course played longer than advertised. Pace was slow. Grounds were maintained well.
Classic Municipal course
This is the second best CRC course right behind Glenview South/West. Good layout. Good conditions. There was no starter, and the staff didn't do anything to pair up two somes, and let a few singles go off by themselves that really slowed down the course. Other than that it was a good day golfing.
