Franklin Bridge Golf Club
About
Franklin Bridge Golf Club (formerly known as The Crossing GC) runs alongside the Harpeth River, which borders 15 of the course's 18 holes. Opened in 1970, the course has a classic layout that will appeal to a wide range of skill levels. Some of the holes definitely present a formidable test, the 16th and 18th for example, which have been hailed by local media as two of the best and most challenging holes in the state, but it is the par-4 ninth with its island green that is the course's signature hole. Although the layout offers a fair challenge, there is also some room for error that makes it more approachable for beginners. In addition to the course, Franklin Bridge Golf Club boasts an 8-acre driving range as well as chipping and putting greens equipped with a practice sand bunker.

2nd time we left before finishing round
The course is decent and has potential. However, it is overbooked and the pace of play is not governed. The last two rounds have been so frustrating that we walked off before finishing our round. The price is a product of the poor experience.
Getting there
The course has improved somewhat, but has several holes with very unlevel tee boxes.
Great Value
We got the 6:26am tee time because it has been so hot lately. We got checked in individually and painlessly, grabbed our included lunch chit and our included range balls and went to warm up. The carts are not new but are adequate. The course is challenging but not sadistic unless I am off my game. It is not too far from Nashville to drive to play and for those of us in Brentwood or Franklin, it is a quick drive over. Golf now has some great deals and the combination is one that keeps me coming back.
Good golf day
My two buddirs who were playing the course for tge firsttime and myself enjoyed the day. The greens were in good shape, but since it was their first time, the water was a little intimidating. Overall we enjoyed the experience and plan to return.
Enjoyable Course to Play
Good mix of challenging holes along with those that you can attack for birdie. Pace of play was managed well by the staff and with intent during the round and finished in 4 hours, 35 minutes. Some standing water in some sections of the course even though there's been no rain in the area for days. Think I saw a beverage cart getting ready to go out on the course after the round was complete but never saw it during the round - would be a real benefit to the club & golfers to have carts on the course. Was paired up with another twosome that was really great to play with...nice people, which seems to always be the case at Forrest Crossing. When you tee off on #10, use a non-white ball so it doesn't get lost among the dozens of range balls that have been pushed way right from those on the range. Will play this course again and again and again.
FC no 16
Great facility and course. Pace of play a little slow but being a Saturday very understandable. Some of the holes are worth the fee to me. Recommend
Nice Course
We went on a mixed weather day after some heavy rain earlier in the week and The course drained pretty well. Very well laid out and tough pin placements. Only issue I had was the position of the driving range. It runs parallel to the 10th hole and if you hit middle - left it is impossible to find your ball due to all the range balls.
A fun course to play.
It was my first time on this course. Despite post rain conditions, the course played good. Putting greens had a good speed. Free range balls and friendly staff. Drove 45 min to play and will do it again.
Decent in every aspect but great value
I enjoy the layout at FC even though it is not the most challenging. There are some interesting holes, particularly on the back nine. It is very much a course where strategic players can play well. There are a lot of shorter holes that don't allow you to hit driver due to hazards, so a solid long iron/hybrid/wood game is a must. Greens are generally VERY quick and dry out quickly after rain, so it's important to miss on the right side of the pin when hitting into the greens. This, coupled with the fact that there isn't a whole lot of trouble off the tees, really makes this a second-shot course. Can be very fun and very easy to score if you hit it straight. Not much rough to speak of, and conditions are generally favorable even if the course isn't the most immaculately maintained in the area.
The Player's Club is a spectacular deal if you live in the area. It's roughly $30 a month for $20 worth of range balls (two large buckets, about 200 balls) per day and discounts on greens fees all day through the website (only pay the $10 cart fee after 3 PM during the season). You also get entry into free PC members-only clinics with the pro. Also there is a great lunch special included in the greens fees for all players (not just PC) on weekend mornings -- $40 for range balls, play, and a burger or hotdog/chips/drink at the turn.
Quick tip: #10 is the hardest green on the course in my opinion. Make sure to hit the front of the green in the middle unless the pin is ALL the way in the back (it rarely is). Green slopes hard from back to front and funnels into the middle. If you miss above the hole, you will 3-putt.
Vacation golf
I had sometime on the day I played. Found this course,it's a nice course but the staff was not the friendliest and the pace for 13 holes was at 4 hours.
Lunch included
Great greens and great layout. The price is great especially when you get lunch included.
Course has some slow play
Greens in good shape with overall good conditions. Play is slow which is to be expected.
Solid
Consistently the best course for the price in Nashville. I always enjoy playing Forrest Crossings
A Quiet Wednesday
FC is an excellent place to play a round of golf whether by yourself or with a group. The only issue I have ever had here is that some of the members are not well schooled on golf etiquette with regards to slow play. I was stuck behind a threesome for six holes on the back nine that were particularly slow and they were obviously not concerned at all about letting me play through. What was considerably disturbing is the Marshall was in the parking lot on here phone for the entire time, about twenty minutes, when I was leaving which leads me to believe she was not doing what she needs to do.
Above average course for below average price!
It was my first timing playing at FC and I was impressed with the scenery of the course. The layout was challenging but also lauded out well for the intermediate golfer! I would definitely recommend and will for sure be back frequently.
