I wouldn't go back this year.
Currently no driving range or chipping area do to flood, so don't show up early as there is nothing to do.
Greens are new and are rock hard, you hit the middle of the grean it will not stay on.
Lots of ground under repair from the flood.
Back nine is in great shape minus the rock hard greens.
No GPS on carts
Not worth full price
Cool course great views. No range right now, greens are rock hard and flood damage around course. I figured other reviews were being a bit extreme with the green conditions but they are right. No need for a divot tool and aim for the front of the green. Even with that info good luck holding them
Mountain course
Interesting course design. Holes 1, 3, 9 have lots of ground under repair. Range is closed. Crazy new greens will improve as they age to get more receptive. Green speeds were good and smooth. Slow play was unfortunate. Some unreasonable hole placements and hole demands for a first play of the coourse.
Spectacular holes
What a fun course and it’s in great shape. The is no driving range at this time but otherwise it was nice. We had to wait a few times and yet still played 18 in 4 hours
Not worth full price right now
No range, rock hard greens and flood damage. Fun scenic course but conditions are not what would be expected at full price. Get a deal or an afternoon rate. Pace was great until 16 but still played in under 4:30
Not overly impressed
This would be a fun course to play, if the greens were ready for use. The starter mentioned to us on the first tee that the greens were brand new and very firm. This information should have been shared with us much sooner than the first tee. The greens are so firm, it made the course borderline unplayable. Hitting short irons/wedges into greens only to watch your ball hit the middle of the green and bounce over the back is not a playable golf course. The worst part is charging full rate to play as well.
I would recommend avoiding this course until the greens are able to soften up.
Fun
Course played tough but fair. And a whole lot of fun!
Terrible new greens. Condition and new design.
Everyone should wait to play here for two to three years and let the new greens settle and soften. They are currently unplayable.
Course
The course was a bit in a rough shape, but still had fun. Very opened and not too difficult. The starter was absolutely excellent. The best starter. I’ve worked with as he offered great tips to make our round more enjoyable will definitely return.
hard greens
Great views and very challenging. approach shots need to be high for it to hold.
Friendly staff....would play it again...
Great golf day
Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Clubhuse is filled with great clothing selection and reasonable prices.
Golf course view is stunning. Elevated greens are always a challenge since the greens do not hold. 2 putts are a win and 3 putts for sure are easy...lol...hard greens since they are new...
part of the challenge...
Better back 9
We played PGA West Dye Mountain course and they have new greens. They were very firm and didn’t hold…but what you’d expect from new greens.
The back nine is tight, more scenic and the better 9. Overall it’s a nice track and a decent bargain for the money for Palm Springs.
