Great Views, great course.
Although it had rained that morning and winds were 25mph that particular day, by the time we played the course was in great condition. Drainage is excellent. Not soggy at all. Very fun day.
Great course, especially the back nine
Pace of play was terrible..Two slow groups in front of us, but no marshall to help. Five hours and only played 15 holes. Pro shop staff very friendly.
Hidden cost
When I arrived the golf shop, the staff asked to pay cart fee. I thought the booked rate included the fee like other courses.
I hope Golfnow to mark walking rate on the reservation window.
Fun, beautiful course
Had heard this was a nice course, and they were right. Front 9 and back 9 play very differently. Front 9 is mostly flat and open, back 9 is hilly with a more than a couple blind shots.
Back 9 is a tough walk, but good exercise for those of us that need it (myself especially), but I would recommend a cart first time out as you will want to go scout out ahead on a few holes to see where things are going.
Tame the big green monster
One of the most difficult courses in Marin is a joy to play. Course is in great shape even with the drought. it is Un crowded this time of year so it is easy to get a tee time and keep your group at any size! You will feel good after the first 9 but be ready for a real test on the back 9! Wonderful views of the Marin hills are found throughout the whole course. Enjoy!
San Geronimo Golf Course 8/27/2015
What a treat! I played this course on a weekday afternoon and everything was great! Played as a single and was paired up, Started on time, pace of play was great. The whole experience was one that I would return again and again.
Disapointed
The Pro/ Manager Chris Brite is a not so friendly person. Does not cater to the golfer/customer what so ever.He is a jerk!!!!! Would not give me a cart even though I paid for a cart said I had to ride with some random that was in my tee time. I would not recommend this course to any golfer. Not even if it was for $5 bucks......
Interesting layout
Nice course, greens are OK but fairways need help, also more up to date yardage guide would be useful for first time players
San G is fun... needs water!
Dried out but still fun. No real fairways as they can not put enough water on the course to do any good the greens were great so i can say it was a great overall golf. Great staff that should be commended for a great overall golf experience, The checkin was great and the on course marshall let us play thru a pair of slow women players att he turn.We finished in under 3 hrs...no kidding 2hrs 50 minutes.I will be back!
Considering drought, course in exceptional shape
Greens were in great shape, but still a challenge. Considering the drought, we were surprised with the condition of the course. Well done.
San Geronimo with Foursome
I really enjoy this course. It is somewhat challenging and is located in a beautiful area. I guessing, because of the drought, the fairways are browning and in spots are quite hard.
A very beautiful course.
Played full 18 holes...Lost only 1 ball to water...lol
Had a great time. Did feel I was out "hiking" in a few areas. It does test your fitness a bit. I am an older woman who just started golfing a few years ago. It sure will keep you fit.
Bumpy ride
I've played this course for years. The back nine is my favorite part especially the last 4holes, definitely risk and reward sort of play. Presently the course is in fine shape and can only hope it continues. I know water will be a large expense this season due to the lack of rain and that thoughtful spending will be a top priority in keeping up with it.
A suggestion that I have would be to decrease the potential amount of cart repairs that will be attributed to the war zone type cart paths on the course. The asphalt, or lack of it, should be replaced or taken out altogether. The carts, as well as the golfers, are taken a real beating and repairs for the carts, if not already, are going to skyrocket. This is just food for thought. Thanks
A great place to play.
It's a very solid round of golf.
The back is more challenging than the front.
2 separate nines make this very interesting
L-o-n-g drive from East Bay through heavy weekday commute traffic. Better to book weekend. Course doesn't look like most others in the Bay Area, so its a new experience. Some "up and back" holes but some very different ones too. Greens are readable and fair. Fairways open enough for errant shots. Not too hilly and distance between greens and cart park is about average.

Great golf course In natural setting. Only a few houses.
Great course. Scenic views. I play it all the time. My favorite course in marin county and north bay.
Nice layout
Nice course; not exceptionally well maintained, although they are working on several holes. Greens were about average and the course is very basic. A few interesting holes and nice setting with lots of trees and greenery. Would play again and great value.
Good Golf, Nice people, Interesting course.
Course is in good condition. Wide variety of holes. Very enjoyable round. Only issue is I made the reservation on GolfNow and didn't realize that the quoted rate included a mandatory cart fee. I did not want to take a cart but had to pay anyway. This is a problem with GolfNow which should be easy to address. I will be very leary of GolfNow in the future.
SGV Good Course
SGV is always a good course to play. Considering the time of year and the drought, the course is in good shape. Always recommend playing this course.
Nice day, slow front nine
They allowed a twosome in front of us which slowed us down until they quit after nine holes.
No driving range is a big bummer.
