Naperbrook Golf Course
About
Naperbrook Golf Course sprawls across rolling hills covered with native prairie grasses. Located in northwest Plainfield, the course was carefully carved from pristine Illinois farmland. The traditional links-style layout nicely balances player-friendly elements with more challenging ones. Like many links courses, wind will most likely be a factor. The fairways are open and fairly generous and the large greens have interesting undulations and tiers. Though the golf course is routed through 10 different ponds, water isn't the most prominent hazard. Instead you'll find the tall grasses to be the more challenging test. There are also some tricky hidden bunkers strategically placed throughout. The par 5s are long but reachable and the par 3s are particularly challenging, offer greater rewards to players who are willing to take risks. In addition to the golf course, Naperbrook is also home to a 10-acre driving range.

A good time for Duffers
This course is designed for the average golfer or the weekend duffer. It is challenging yet not to the point of being totally frustrated by the end of the eighth hole. Playing from the tips looks to be a fair test for the not so faint of heart. The service is great-accommodating, and friendly. Play it once and I'm sure you will want it to be your "home course".
4 stars
Course was good shape, greens were rolling well for just having the storms pass through the day before. Pace of play was excellent, didn't wait once to have to hit. Usually play from the back +325 yds, moved up one box, made a big difference in the wet conditions. Green breaks are very subtle on these undulating multi-tiered greens. It's all about the 2nd shot here for the most part.
NIce value for senior
First time here after many rounds at sister track Spring Brook several miles north.
Great course for working out swing; mostly wide landing areas and few trees or hazards coming into play.
Very good condition through the green; putting greens good but not as well maintained as Spring Brook.
Very friendly staff.
Naperbrook Golf Course
Well kept course. Wide fairways. Looking forward to golfing there again.
Keep it in play!
Just like almost anywhere, ya gotta keep it in play. Not a lot of room to spray the ball.
No more ride alongs
Pace of play was horrendous. They allowed a group ahead of us to have three riders join the three golfers, which I'm sure made for a nice pleasant afternoon for them. for the rest of us, the pace was dreadful. They had no concern for the groups behind, and never once encountered a ranger to move them along.
Good Place to Play When You Can't Go Far
A well maintained park district course. Staff is friendly, pro shop is helpful. No lights on the driving range, and no short game area. But they don't usually care if you chip to the putting green when not busy.
Naperbrook
Course is in very good condition. Play was slow for early Sat. Morning.
The girl who runs the concession stand needs training. They don't do a very good job of serving lunch or drinks after your round
Naperbrook- Easier than Springbrook
Naperbrook is one of my go-to courses out in Naperville. I can usually get a tee time for a reasonable price and the course is fun. It can feel a little short sometimes at 6,350 yards from the blues but I always seem to have a good time playing this course. Generally speaking it isn’t a very difficult course compared to the sister course, Springbrook, the greens are easier here and the overall design is more forgiving. You play a few holes along houses and the street but it doesn’t bother me. In fact, the par 5 #7 is probably my favorite hole at Naperbrook. Pace of play usually decent, but can get crowded on weekends as expected. Snag a ‘Hot Deal’ on GolfNow and it makes the round worth it.
Overall nice!
Overall Naperbrook is a nice park district course. It gets a lot of play but the staff works hard to keep it nice. The pros and support staff are very friendly and helpful. I play here often and would recommend it.
