About
Naperbrook Golf Course sprawls across rolling hills covered with native prairie grasses. Located in northwest Plainfield, the course was carefully carved from pristine Illinois farmland. The traditional links-style layout nicely balances player-friendly elements with more challenging ones. Like many links courses, wind will most likely be a factor. The fairways are open and fairly generous and the large greens have interesting undulations and tiers. Though the golf course is routed through 10 different ponds, water isn't the most prominent hazard. Instead you'll find the tall grasses to be the more challenging test. There are also some tricky hidden bunkers strategically placed throughout. The par 5s are long but reachable and the par 3s are particularly challenging, offer greater rewards to players who are willing to take risks. In addition to the golf course, Naperbrook is also home to a 10-acre driving range.

Great course / pace needs to pick up
We always come to Naperbrook when the area has received too much rain. The course drains better than most and the fairways are always in great shape.
Having said that, the last two rounds we have had some pace-of-play issues with groups ahead of us. There is not enough "ready golf" and people are taking far too long to leave the greens. A back nine shouldn't take nearly 2.5 hours on a weekday.
Still, a great course for the money and we will return in the future.
Better than most munis
Naperbrook gets tons of play. Despite that, the course is always in great shape. True and fast greens. Good pace of play. You can't go wrong here

Naperbrook is a fairly wide open course with big greens and lends itself as an easy walking course.
Tired of paying the Golf Now fee - $15 to make a tee time is ridiculous.
Needed some practice
I enjoyed playing just a little difficult playing along but overall enjoyable can't wait until my next outing
Another Great Winter (?) Day!
A wonderful experience all around at Naperbrook on this late February day with temperatures approaching 70 degrees F. Friendly staff in the pro shop allowed me to tee off whenever I was ready to go and despite a fairly good number of golfers on the course in front of me, the pace of play was never an issue. Course conditions were very good - especially considering the time of year. Naperbrook is a fun course to play so long as you drive it straight and keep your ball in play (most notably on holes #3 and #17).
wanted to see what the course was about
Windy but a nice May day in February. Figured I could try it out on the cheap. Nothing special. No particularly memorable holes. Your standard tree-less, flat northeastern Illinois course. As far as midseason goes, there are certainly plenty of options of better convenience/challenge/price. Low amenities rating simply a function of being out-of-season -- they never expected to be open this time of year. I don't normally walk, but all the driving carts were still in storage.
Golf in February
Happy this course was open in the dead of Winter. Staff was professional and very friendly. Course was walk only which was surprising given an extensive cart path and dry conditions.
Awesome weather
February 19th. 65 degrees. Awesome day to golf. Course was in good shape for February. Pace was good.

Golfing in February in Naperville was a great adventure. temperature was 65, record high, and the course was in good shape for this time of year.
Good course
Very nice course. Conditions usually excellent. A few interesting holes. Not going to be on anyone 100 best you must play, but a good solid course. Pretty tough to find a deal, though.
NAPERBROOK REVIEW
The course is well set up and fair for all levels. the sand traps are positioned fairly for the difficulty level of the course. Pace of play was good.

Challenging course for the price
This course has an excellent mix of water, bunkers, and length. The par 5 holes are challenging and the 18th hole is a tough way to end your round. From the starter to everyone who works inside , the staff is friendly and very accommodating. I would recommend this course to anyone.

Playable
Course is very playable. A good course for those who are less experienced. Hard to lose a ball which helps speed up pace of play.

Greens need help
I love this course. What happened to the greens? I'm not sure if it's the recent rain or the lack of patrons fixing their ball marks. These greens need work.
Also, no real fairways on this day. I get it...no time to cut the grass because of the weather. I hope to be back soon and I hope the greens keeper addresses the poor conditions.

Nice day in Naperville.
I took my buddy out to play. He said he played this track 20 years ago and would like to back again. Check-in with the Golf Now coupon was quick & easy. We got the cart, loaded up our gear & off to the first tee with 10 minutes to spare. Starter Lew gave us the overview of rules, expected turn time & pin placements in 2 minutes. A no B.S. guy. Which, I might say is all the info needed before your round. The Course was in good shape. Stopped at the turn for a sammich & a beverage. Got in & out in 7 minutes. We finished in 4 hours flat. We had a brew after the round, bought a hat in the Pro Shop and hit the road. A great day of golf. Thank you Golfnow.com. You need to change the question above to : Did you play 18 holes, not 9. If you didn't play 18 holes, then you played 9. Just sayin".

I like this course it's not easy or difficult pace could be better 3 hole offer some thinking, I don't use driver on this par 5 hole just 5 wood will do
