White Heron Golf Club
About
White Heron Golf Club (formerly known as Ridgewood Lakes Golf Club) has had many accolades over its history and for good reason. The Ted McAnlis layout is sculptured from lush rolling land and features immaculate playing conditions year round. Water and natural wetlands come into play on 16 of our 18 holes and the resident breeze can significantly change the course from day to day. Yet despite the natural beauty and obvious pedigree of the layout, with four sets of tees the course is still enjoyable for golfers of all levels.

Amazing layout and well worth the money. Staff was fantastic from start to finish. Can’t wait to play it again
Pleasant surprise
Played here 4 years ago and it was junkyard. Heard of changes and gave it a try. What a difference! The are working very hard to make this a go-to stop on vacation. A 4 hour round on Saturday am makes me happy. Nice going staff!!
Backed up
Course was terribly backed up. Waited 10-15 minutes on each hole. Bathroom on the course was extremely terrible and very unsanitary. Would not play there again.
Great people
Course is in excellent shape the bathrooms on the course do need to be fxed. The pro
Change for the worse since last year
The course and facilities were in worse shape that last year. The on course men’s restroom did not have a toilet fixture, just a plugged hole in the floor. We had to wait for carts to become available before we could start our round
Just OK.
Ok course but amenities were poor. On course washrooms were close to unusable as 1 had no fixtures in it and 2 of the ladies toilets had broken seats.
Thank you for the 4 star rating, it is very much appreciated.
Thank you, WHGC
Getting better and better
I loved and enjoyed golf course since i have played for consecutive 4 years. Course was good condition and green is very fast and roll excellent.
See you next year!!!
Thank you very much for the kind words, the staff tries as hard as possible to create a fun and enjoyable round.
See you next season
WHGC
Course was in excellent condition and we played the round in under four hours. A little pricey but well worth it.
Thank you for playing White Heron Golf Club, we couldn't be happier that you enjoyed your round.
We are constantly trying to be the best Golf Course we can be.
Thanks again,
WHGC
Nice course, greens were not great.
Decent course, fun layout. Greens were somewhere between punched and sanded and just punched. They just rolled funny. Very wobbly and tersely held any line. After the first 3 I didn’t even bother putting.
Definitely not a 100 dollar course!
A nice girl brought us the cart to the parking lot...BUT there was no water in the club washer and no sand in the sand bottle...bad.
As written in a review earlier, there is very little grass on the fairways and around the greens. The ball often lies on the bare earth...this is not acceptable on a $100 course.
There are tons of broken tees lying around on all the tee boxes. They should be collected by the staff...
The garbage baskets are all full to the brim with garbage. We played at 11am, it can't just be from that day...that's not acceptable on a $100 course.
The worst were the bathrooms on the first 9 holes. They could not be used and were in terrible condition. You can't do that on a $100 course....
My wife and I paid over $200 and were very disappointed...for $200 we expected more, sorry....
Layout ok but...
Has potential but needs more staff.
Pace of play was poor on day I played with no sign of course ranger (we were held up and showing 25 minutes behind on cart GPS). We finished in the dark despite a start tee time just after 1.
Greens were quite firm and required more watering.
Some very large bunkers had no rake or just one in them. Nice carts but club cleaner had no water in it.
Thank you for playing White Heron Golf Club. We are still working out a few bugs with our brand new carts and GPS, but be assured your next time here will be better.
Thank you, WHGC
Course conditions were great but bathroom facilities lacking
I have no complains about the course conditions; even though weather had been very rainy for several days, there was limited standing water and greens were nice. The new golf cart with GPS was great. My biggest complaint that I must mention is the condition of the bathrooms. As a woman golfer, I found both gender neutral bathrooms so soiled I could not use and the woman’s room in pro shop closed. I used the men’s room with my husband standing guard. The woman’s room on the course had no light with a seat that slid off. You must do better for $100 on a weekday.
Played 3 times in 5 days
Generally we liked the course. Lots of tee options and course was in ok shape. Greens were excellent albeit a bit hard, but very true.
Lots of confusion on 1 and 10 tee each time we played, but we usually got out close to our tee time.
Over the 5 days, they did not move any pin locations ( not one, all 18 stayed the same) so that was very disappointing.
Fairways were average, no rough to speak of but was an OK course to play. Location was really good for us.
Thank you for playing White Heron, I feel your exaggerating your wait times, if that was the case it would have been an 7 hr round.
That day we were fully packed and averaged 4:30 minute round.
Thank you, WHGC
