Grand/Royal at Grand Palms Golf & Country Club
Twenty seven championship holes await travelers visiting south Florida's scenic beaches. Grand Palms Golf & Country Club in Pembroke Pines also offers three nines: Royal, Sabal and Grand. All three are famous for having some of the best greens in the area, and the golf courses are played in three separate combos. The Grand/Royal 18, designed by Ward Northrup, comes in at 6,881, most of which is blanketed with palm trees and tropical foliage. The longest and most challenging of the Grand Palms' golf courses, Grand/Royal features some especially memorable water holes. A tight layout with raised greens (perfect for testing your shot-making talents), beware the Grand's bunkers, strategically placed along the greensides.

Could be a great course, but too overpriced.
This was my first time playing this course. I was hoping to get a great experience at the course, but the condition of the course for the price I paid does not match. Pros for the course. 1) The greens rolled true . 2) The neighborhood is very pretty, nice houses.
1) Over priced, as I said before. This is more like a $30 for a round course. I say a step above Hollywood and OrangeBrook.
2) The condition of the course needs some work.
3) The fairways are not in great shape.
4) The traps have bad hard sand.
5) Clubhouse needs an upgrade. Looks dated.
Considering the wet weather past few weeks this course is in good condition.
We where two 9am my son amd I got paired with a single which was fine but course was a swamp and got stuck behind a five some seemed like just us and them on the course in addition both carts gps didn’t work not worth the money.
Nice scenery but course is wet
Overall very nice but if you go when it had rained the day before it is muddy. Sad they had not a better way to dry it up. I will surely come back during the winter dryer months
Good course for the money
I’ve played here several times before and I still enjoy it. Greens and fairways are kept up pretty nicely and carts have GPS. Last time playing it poured on and off, but course held up decently under bad conditions. Staff is very friendly, but amenities have gone to the wayside. Restaurant is closed, no beer cart, etc. Still a decent course if you don’t want to spend a ton of money.
Only played nine
Course was fine
Was paired with beginners so made the going very slow took 4hrs for nine
Pace of play a nightmare
Our foursome got to the first tee box 3 minutes prior to our tee time and there were 2 foursome waiting to tee off. They must have been walk ins go out or did not have proper seperation on their tee times In addition it started pouring on the second hole and we were forced to leave after 5 holes (which took 90 minutes)
NO RAIN CHECKS
I realize there is a sign posted on the pro shop but nonetheless they should be ashamed with what they charge
Too expensive for the course conditions
The course is in bad shape a lot of mud and standing water.. They don’t allow a one person per cart on the weekends which it is the new rule due to COVID-19. I am not going back
Rough shape, old course clinging to It’s name
I had heard about this course from friends who lived in the area. Apparently, it was a swanky spot with 3 separate 9hole courses you could choose from. In all honesty, I think my ratings were a bit harsh but that’s because of what I had come to expect from this place. The greens and t-boxes are in good shape but that was about it. Comparatively speaking, there are plenty of other courses I would go to for the same price.
Pace was good got a little lost but another player pointed us in the right direction.
All fine will go back.
Not worth $65. Drop it to $40 in the mornings and I’ll play. Boycotted this course during premier card because they never awarded it
Needs a lot work
I don’t know, maybe it’s been all the rain, and they can’t do the upkeep, but jeez. Not crazy about the layout, lot of small landing zones, lay up shots, water. Some greens had a lot of weeds. 5 inch first cut, couldn’t find your ball. Said GPS on carts shut down for Covid which sounded stupid, just clean the screen between players, I would do anyway. No course map or layout, no 150 sticks. 100, 200 markers covered.. Sorry to be so harsh. It was my fault, I did not read reviews before I booked, guy before was right
Course should have never been open
The 4 star rating intrigued me but I should have known better to go there after some heavy we've had in FL. The bottom line is the course was unplayable and should have never been opened. I played a total of 4 holes; cart path only (which is fine) but even if you parked your cart on the path, you had to go around mini-lakes to get to your ball in the middle of the fairway. I lost 2 balls in the first 2 holes; not because of errant shots but because one was sucked in a mini-pool on the left side of the fairway and the other was plugged "somewhere" just right of the of the fairway. The layout seems interesting but the conditions of this course need to improve and so does the customer service!
Average course. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the rain has not helped the conditions of the course. Fairways not in good condition and greens need some love. The bunkers are full of rocks. Not good for your clubs.
booked, checked in and went to the starter. No sign and no mention the course was cart path only.
