Easy walk
Average course that's great for working on your golf game, instead of beating balls on a range. Course condition could be improved somewhat, especially the fairways.
Great Practice Course for Intermediate Golfer
First time I played this course...pretty wide open fairways but some tall trees...still felt at ease in trying to work on my game of hitting fairways and hitting greens. Because its so flat good scrambling can be had. Overall liked it.
Good course for high handicappers
Good flat course, mostly straight fareways. Not too crowded on weekdays so a 3 and 1/2 or 4 hour round is not uncommon. Very reasonable twilight rates and a very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend this course for beginners and high handicappers.
The speed of play was excellent
No complaints! The pace of play was very very good and the greens were in excellent condition. Please provide more hot deals at this golf course in the future. Thank you!
Value for money course with friendly staff
Great course, excellent valu for your money plus friendly staff
Soggy mess
Well I will always rate and review this course high. It is a good course. I fell victim to playing it after it had rained and it was a soggy mess, they have a horrible drain system and while It was three days after a good rain the whole course was drenched they had not cut it. it was rough all the way across with puddles all through the fairways.Best recommendation..... it's a great course when you go at least two weeks minimum after a good rain before playing.
Bring a book to read
Quit playing after playing 5 holes. 15 minute wait on each tee box. They squeeze in as many as want to play. When asked why so many allowed on the course, the staff said, "because it's a nice day. That's how we do it here. You don't have to come back. "
Walking with no pull carts
It would have been nice to know that carts were not allowed on course because of the rain. Plus, no pull carts were available. Walked 18 holes carrying our bags.
No discount on the price to play.
Many, many times played
Used $20 golf now credit, good thing, front was closed, all greens punched and sanded day before.....Bad timing.
Miramar G.C.
Will probably not return to this course. We had a 13:20 tee time and arrived early. The manager told us that we couldn't tee off before 13:00 due to us paying twilight hours rates. We sat and waited for 45 minutes and watched one single tee off during that time. We could have teed off earlier.
Great hidden gem
This is a great course to play . Greens are so nice , fairways are open . I will be playing here more now that I know civilians are welcome..
Wide Open!
Great place to practice during the week. Course is usually wide open mid day. Good range, putting greens, and pitching area. Price is right!!
Decent course
We've played Miramar many, many times. The course is in good condition right now. The greens were in great condition and so were the bunkers! I don't regret landing in a bunker with soft sand compared to the concrete other course have!! The tee boxes were also in good shape. Some holes I was really impressed with the fairways, others not so much. The course is very flat, easy to walk.... not very many hazards. We've played it many times, will play it again many times - but usually only when we get a great deal < $25. BTW, I always play the blue tees, the whites are just too easy!!!
Nice Course
The course is flat, greens sloped. Somewhat of a hassle getting on base.
Nice Find for 18
Good course... moved fairly quickly...Long holes.
Flat and clean, excellent greens.
This a great walking course. Not a single hill. Very open. Greens are smooth and fast. As it is a Marine Base course there are many interesting planes that fly overhead, and, if you need to joint some other players they are most-often Marines, or their friends and easy-going and pleasant.
