Green grass
I love to golf here. 3 challenging par 3/4's courses to chose from. Seems the grass is always green, mowed and the greens are awesome! Fun to play over and over.
Played East, then North
0730 am early Tee Time on a Cool Nov 17 morn. A bit dewy at first, but the sun was up early too and dried out the greens quickly...which in turn made the greens get quick...unlike the practice green. We were just a twosome, with a 2some in front and in back of us. No pressure on us...low scores for us. Nice layout on both nines. Some similar holes from East to North although the look was similar the yardages were different. Overal we had our fun and finished at the ninteenth with a snackbar lunch and drink.
Great test / practice
Great executive course, really good length par 3's, par 4's are really short. Greens are the best part of the course, tee boxes are uneven, fairways average. Pace of play is perfect. Great course if you are trying to improve approach shots / shortgame.
GO PLAY
Fun executive course
Nice course, played 18 and then a 9 hole replay. Great course, would recommend it to anyone
Not a Single Oak on the Course
Great Track but a bit overpriced...
Oddly enough there is not a single Oak tree on the course (that I could see). The price to play should really include all (27) holes. The $20 cart rental (on top of price to play) is absurd; The cart was a heap and furthermore unsafe, the alignment was so off that the cart wanted to go in circles. Back to the Course... Descent Fairways which played well up to the Really Nice Greens (Fast and Smooth but Cooperative). Very few Sand Traps (looks like they've let grass come in where traps used to be). The Ponds need work in both appearance and the smell. The old trees (Pines) are dying out and one could see that this course has changed quite a bit over the years.
I'd play it again but only on a Hot Deal under $25
Oaks north golf course
Played east/south great day just a little slow for me 4hours but enjoyed it and will go back again
Nice course, Well kept, Fun course, Greens in nice condition.
Love Oaks North
I've played Oaks North about once a week for a couple of years now. The course is a great choice if you want to walk. Also great place to hone my short game (or not).
The greens are in good shape, as are most of the bunkers (a rare thing now days for a lot of courses). We played during the week, so the pace of play was good.
Tees need some attention
Have played this course many times over the years. They had gone up in price a couple of years ago but I understand the supply and demand aspect. Usually a decenent par 3 layout but they need to work on their tees. They are all crowned and need to be leveled. Greens are in good shape and roll true.Fairways are thin in spots but I think that is more attributed to time of year.
A little trouble
When I showed up gave them my name and tee time front desk gave me my receipt to give to the starter gave him my name and tee time, he said he would try to work me in, he people at 11:15 and 11:30 to go ahead of me what did I pay for just to be worked in , I thought my tee time was 11:00 not to be worked in
Very nice course
I played at north and east course on 26th Dec. and started 11AM. North course was well conditioned and beautiful. Game pace was also good. East was a little bit worse than North course but it was also good by itself. I like this course and want to play again.
Was surprised we had to pay 10 bucks extra per person for a cart. Have bought a lot on GolfNow and that was a disappointment. A lot of par 3’s and maybe 3 par 4’s. Greens were in great shape
Play here 2-3 times a month
I started playing Oaks North weekly about a year ago, mainly to help with my short game. There's no question that my short game has benefited. However, I have come to enjoy this course as much as any I play. The reasons are: 27 holes allows you to mix it up and not get bored on a week to week basis. The greens are as good as any I play on. They have an employee regularly go around the course with a special tool to repair ball marks. There are a few holes where I can pull out my driver, but for the most part I am driving with my 3 or 5 wood or an iron. Not the course to work on your long ball skills. But, if you want to improve your short game, this is the place!
Best Executive Course - Period
I play here once a week and am always impressed by the quality of the greens. I feel I never get a bad roll. The overall layout appeals to golfers at all levels. There are some easy holes but most are challenging. Pat yourself on the back if you par #8 on any of the three 9 hole tracks. I also love walking this course. And getting a round in 3 hours, while using every club in the bag, is great too.
