Great conditions for an executive course!
Our only complaint would be the pace of play. The course is in very nice shape, tee boxes, greens and fairways all nicely maintained. We ended up as a twosome and had to wait 3-5 minutes on every tee box. Fortunately it was a beautiful day and we were enjoying the nice weather. We played the South course followed by the North course. We have played the East course on another visit and all 3 nines have a nice layout and variety of holes. The par 4's are all relatively short, the longest ones barely over 300 yards giving you some chances for birdies. The par 3's range up to 200 yards and the shortest we saw from the back tees was about 135 yards. We enjoyed our round and other than some rude players that were having a tournament and yelled at my wife to get out of their way by the clubhouse it was a great day!
Well maintained course
Great weather with great friends led us to Oaks North to a great round of golf at a very affordable price. Golf prices tend to increase as the weather gets better and the days get longer so nice to know there are still well maintained courses out there at reasonable prices.
Always in great condition
The starter let me off earlier than my tee time and playing alone, was able to play the North/East nines in less than 3 hours. The course was in great shape as always and the greens, albeit a tad slow, were beautiful. Didn't get any price break from the regular course rate but still booked on GN.
Great walking course.
Always a pleasure to play at Oaks North, and since there's three 9 nines to pick from,, it's always fun. Staff is great and accomodating.
Pleasant way to spend a day walking.
Given the time of year (February) the course was in pretty good shape overall. Good short game practise, relatively easy level so would appeal to novices and to more experienced golfers who are looking for a relaxed day and pleasant walk. Take a cart if you cannot handle some gentle hills, but otherwise it's a pretty easy walk. Value for money is ok - a little on the pricey side we felt as we have played full sized courses for less, and this is an executive par 3. Pro shop guys a bit on the unfriendly side, course marshalls and outside staff very friendly.
Respectable for an afternoon with the family
Good executive course, but the greens were US open speeds....very difficult to get the ball to stop on the green from any distance out which didn't help with my score any.
Nice exec course. Good condition. Arrogant pro shop staff.
Nice executive course. Well maintained and in good condition. Fast pace of play midweek. Arrogant, smarmy pro shop staff that day. Starter and marshall very nice. Good for walking. Good course for honing your iron and wedge play. Nice greens.
Great short game practice. Played early, so pace was good- no waiting on the tees!
as advertised, one the best excutive courses in san diego
Great course for your short game
This review will probably not be published but it is cheaper to book directly with Oaks North.
Darned good executive course
The greens had plenty of pace. The course was in good shape. The round was two hours and easy to walk.
