LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS COURSE
Have been playing this course for about a year now and it never gets boring! From the staff outside (Richie and Scott) to guys in the proshop (Travis and Matt) and then Cindy in the bar you always feel welcomed.
The course itself is superb, and it is always in really good shape. The greens recovered great from the last maintenance and they are ROLLING! Can't wait to play at Emerald again!
Bring your own clubs.
Course was in good shape although greens on the front 9 are still recovering from aeration. Cart did not have GPS even though website claims they do. Rental clubs were awful, which naturally had an impact on the whole experience.
Great course plus great staff plus great value equals a great day!
This place used to be the best. I get the change in business model to a more municipal high volume course but the course is in such bad shape. From tee to green it is subpar. Also, I called ahead to check on the greens since they punched 3 weeks ago and as usual golf courses are shady with the answers. Was told gonna be great and they were unplayable. The potential is amazing but mismanagement blew it. They could have been the new Hillcrest, for the ones that remember. They used to get tons of play but course was always good. Think they lost my business.
Horrible condition, under water
Course was under water, for superintendent to even allow play today was an error in judgment. Fairways soaked with puddles, even cart paths had 6 inches of water. Played 1st hole and left. Gal at front counter didn't have courtesy to admit to golf now the poor condition of course and green's were horrible.
Entire condition was by no means playable.
Ground Under Repair
The course was JUST aerated. GolfNow gave me no warning.
It was also a sloppy track due to incessant rains this week. That is no one's fault.
The Club at Emerald Hills
I enjoyed the course and the staff was very friendly. I feel this course was somewhat expensive considering the course condition and carts don't have GPS, but all the other courses in our area were cart path only and my wife and I wanted to enjoy a Sunday morning round of golf (no stress). All in all, I would definitely go back and enjoy a round of golf at Emerald Hills.
Heard a lot of good things about this course and was very much looking forward to playing it. Staff was great and could not do enough for me. The course was ok. A bit sketchy on some greens. But the biggest issue was the pace of play. It was rediculous. 5 hours. The longest round I’ve ever played in Florida. I play about 10 rounds a year for about 15 years now. When we spoke to the ranger he was very indifferent , drove away, and was never seen again. I will not be going out of my way to play there again.
The course layout is great
The course layout was great you have to use all your skills if you have patience and can stay focus through slow play you will enjoy the round...bring a few more balls there is water on the course.
Great value, great course, very challening !
I loves this course. Service was great. The holes were very challenging with a lot of water hazards and perfectly placed sand traps. Would highly recommend.
Good Course Overall
I really like the layout of this course. Fun holes that offer many different tee boxes. I played from the blues was a good challenge. I think some the greens could use some love. Greens rolled nice and a little slower than most courses locally.
Great track, layout. Tough, but a lot of fun. Fairways were nearly perfect, greens were on the slow side and for the most part rolled true. Whenever I’m in town this is where I go, impossible to beat for $30.
Great course for the money!
From the time I arrived the staff was extremely courteous and the atmosphere felt like a private club. For the $30 dollars I paid on Golf Now I felt the course was well worth worth it. I’ve played many courses in the area, and Emerald hills is far better than most. Honestly, I would’ve paid far more to play this track. The layout was challenging, the fairways were tight, and the rough was well kept (a few brown spots here and there but that’s normal for Florida summers).
My only complaint was that the greens were fairly slow (they looked like they had been recently dressed) but they still had a lot of character which made for interesting putts.
From the tips this course is a beast, so if you’re a long ball hitter throw on your big boy pants and go to battle!
I would 100% recommend this course to everyone..
Jewel of a course
Recently moved to south Florida and I must say that EH is my “go to” course for value, challenge and course maintenance. This track is always plush with wonderful fairways and superior greens. If you’ve never played this course, run don’t walk!
Having played a number of courses in south Florida I was pretty much expecting more of the same in terms of layout Emerald hills is not your typical course. It has plenty of hazards and challenging situations to ensure you think about every shot. This is by far the best course I’ve played in the area. If your in the area treat yourself, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
