Good Course Overall
I really like the layout of this course. Fun holes that offer many different tee boxes. I played from the blues was a good challenge. I think some the greens could use some love. Greens rolled nice and a little slower than most courses locally.
Great track, layout. Tough, but a lot of fun. Fairways were nearly perfect, greens were on the slow side and for the most part rolled true. Whenever I’m in town this is where I go, impossible to beat for $30.
Great course for the money!
From the time I arrived the staff was extremely courteous and the atmosphere felt like a private club. For the $30 dollars I paid on Golf Now I felt the course was well worth worth it. I’ve played many courses in the area, and Emerald hills is far better than most. Honestly, I would’ve paid far more to play this track. The layout was challenging, the fairways were tight, and the rough was well kept (a few brown spots here and there but that’s normal for Florida summers).
My only complaint was that the greens were fairly slow (they looked like they had been recently dressed) but they still had a lot of character which made for interesting putts.
From the tips this course is a beast, so if you’re a long ball hitter throw on your big boy pants and go to battle!
I would 100% recommend this course to everyone..
Jewel of a course
Recently moved to south Florida and I must say that EH is my “go to” course for value, challenge and course maintenance. This track is always plush with wonderful fairways and superior greens. If you’ve never played this course, run don’t walk!
Having played a number of courses in south Florida I was pretty much expecting more of the same in terms of layout Emerald hills is not your typical course. It has plenty of hazards and challenging situations to ensure you think about every shot. This is by far the best course I’ve played in the area. If your in the area treat yourself, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Great course great value
Course layout plays tight and long. Lots of bunkers and water. Bunkers were well groomed with soft sand so played well. Greens were fairly quick and rolled true. Challenging approach and greens play. Worth every penny at GN rates.
First time playing
First time playing this course. Definitely one of the better courses I have ever played . This course is a must no matter what your handicap is.
The course layout seems to be great but the greens conditions are horrible its like playing on a velcro. Maybe because of the rains.... then if thats the case close the course instead if golfers paying top dollar for the course that is mediocre at best during rainy season.
Great value & staff
The fairways and greens are in very good shape.
This is especially impressive given all the rain we’ve had the last few weeks. The staff was friendly and attentive. The clubhouse food and service was also very goood.
Great course. Good shape. Many tees to chose challenge level. Green currently overseeded
Challenge, Fun, and Good Value
The course condition is very good although the greens are still sandy. The sandy greens do not interfere much on putting and this condition will be much improved in a week. The tee boxes are not maintained and the grass although green but too long. Anyway, it's a long, challenge, fun, makes-you-feeling-painful, and one of the best courses in South Florida.
The pro-shop personnel need to be honest with the customers. I like to call in to find out the conditions of the course/greens before making a reservation, not one-time they told the truth of the conditions. They didn't tell me that the greens are sandy this time when I asked. One time they didn't tell me that the greens are so bumpy and after I complained to the pro-shop again after the round, they gave a discounted fee for the next round. Of course, I didn't use it.
They have a so-called hole-in-one fee of $1.25 they charged you without letting you know. Although it's a small fee but shouldn't you declare it to your customers first?
A must play!!!
If you have not been out here yet please make it a point to experience and play this great challenging course. Unlike my first experience the course was well groomed and kept.
Haven't played this course in over 10 years. The greens are fast but not as fast as it was then. Need to play this course with a GPS/Range Finder. Not much rough except around the greens, but putting the ball in play is a premium to hit approach shots on the green. Keeping the ball below the hole is a must although a few down hill putts weren't as fast as expected even with the grain. Greens not easy to read with the many slopes and therein lies the challenge, approach shots and putting.
Very nice course, in pretty good shape.
Only issue there is no drinkable water on the course! There use to be water fountains at the two bathrooms, and they have been removed.
My wife and I really enjoyed our first round of golf at the Club at Emerald Hills. The course was challenging, but fair, and the pace of play was very good. The employees were very helpful and friendly, and made the day even more enjoyable.
