Thumbs up!
Great shape. I’ve played it 100 times. It’s as good as it’s ever been. Brought my brother from out of state, his first time, he loved it.
Average Course ok for the money
Cypress is a challenging course at times but also has some uninspired holes. The course is not well maintained and has scruffy areas around bunkers and along the fairways. The greens can be fast down grain. Otherwise they’re average speed. There are a number of doglegs that require a decent drive to get to the turn. Overall I like playing this course even with its rough edges but if you’re looking for a top line well maintained course then you should look elsewhere
Good overall
Played on a Sunday morning, pace got a little slow in a few spots. Several tee boxes could use some work, but fairways were ok and greens rolled well. Not bad for winter FL rates, would play here again.
Average all around
From check in to playing the course to check out, the experience was average. Check-in is mass chaos with people waiting for carts to go to a number of courses and one person doing the process. Course is in average condition with fairway patches and the bunkers looking like small bombs have hit them. Rake and place if you play here. Layout is good with some challenging holes. After the round head to the bar/restaurant at 5:45 for a cocktail and bite to eat....... nope.......the person holds a second job and has to leave so is closing up, so spend your money elsewhere I guess they are suggesting. May give it another chance and play another of their courses.
Cold Be Better
I have been playing the Palm Aire golf courses for 20 years and little money is spent on the upkeep of these courses. It's a shame, these could be a premier place to play.
Side note, it's the middle of season and no cart person to speak of and it's 80 degrees.
Rain
Course is always in great shape. But we ran into some rain on the 6th hole. Couldn't finish the round...line was crazy long to get any k8nd of a rain check.
As always staff is some of the best.
Better than most
The electric golf carts are all brand new but you’ll need your laser for distance. Each cart has two USB ports for charging your phone. Some of the fairways have narrow landing areas due to water hazards. The depth and quality of sand in the bunkers is generally acceptable. You will get some tight lies in the fairways on occasion due to sparse growth this time of year.
It's always a pleasure to play either oaks or cypress. Staff is fabulous course great. I'm not sure I like the changes in oaks but understand why. Thank you. I love my rounds there.
Cypress course
Lots of condos and houses very close to fairway. No beverage cart. Greens nice. Fairways rough.
THANK YOU Spindolino!!!
