Shadow Ridge Golf Club

Fairways and Greens were very weather and play stressed. Could have used some maintenance.

I played a course just a few miles away from this one (to remain nameless), and it was less than good. So, going to shadow ridge, I was not expecting very much. I kind of figured it would be similar. On the contrary, this course was much, much different. It was open, challenging yet fun, and had a great back drop. I will be playing this course again. Also, I was by myself, because I'm down here for work, and the staff was very kind and set me up with a twosome that was very nice. Great course.

This course have a great layout. The green fee is far less than it could be for what the cours offers. Golf now makes that even better. The greens are very fast and hard the last time I played which made it difficult to stop the ball with even wedges. Greens however roll true and course is also in great condition.

I love playing this course. The course sets up nicely and it is a great value. The staff is courteous. I never have a problem getting off and the pace of play is good.

Course was in good shape for time of year. it rained and was cold when we started but end was sunny and nice.
score card has no red tee rating or slope so it is a problem for women and handicap.

Good course for the March special price.

Busy early in the morning

Great course for all skill levels. I usually play this course a couple times a week. Well maintain by the staff.

To start will, the staff is very friendly, very helpful and know you by name every time you go there. That's impressive. The staff is eager to help you right when you walk in the door. That in itself means a lot. If you get a chance to see the grounds keeper, he even remembers your face and always has a smile and is just an amazing guy. The cart handlers are very friendly too. This is not one of those courses where you're just money walking through the door. They really seem to be genuine people.
The course is great. It's demanding and its narrow in spots but if you're a golfer then you can appreciate that because it keeps you on your game or will help your game if you really want to learn to play golf. There are some beautiful holes out there and if you're lucky enough, you will even see some wildlife. I've been on a hole where when I just happened to look back behind me and there going across the fairway were 3 beautiful deer. I'm telling you, that was one beautiful site.
At any rate, play the course, you won't be sorry you did.

Would have paid $40. And have at other times. Course looks awesome. Especially for the $25. Fee they are running now!!!

Very nice course. Best greens around. Great staff too.

Myself and spouse played Shadow Ridge. We are average golfers and the course for us was a challenge. Narrow fairways, rolling hills, fairways and greens edges all have a natural ball roll to out-of-bounds. Must hit fairways and greens for a good game or play course management laying up and no going for it. Greens were very fast the day we played. Well I play Shadow Ridge again, sure. $29 for 2 players, my wife and I. Please note: My wife takes golf lessons for the club Pro Judd B. He is an excellent golf instructor if you are in the need for lessons. Cheers and keep'em in the short grass. :-)

This is a great course. Not crowed fairways were good. Greens were very fast and challenging but a high wedge would hold the green.

this is a good competive course ,,,great greens..has some sand traps,,water ,good place to play,price is competitive with other courses

Good round. Course was in good shape - especially for August in the Piedmont - the fairways were "softer" than expected. The greens were in good shape, too. I stopped here while traveling - it was a nice break from the tedium of the Highway...

For a subdivision course it had more of an open country feel than I had expected. From what I noticed the homes did not "crowd" the course.

Great course that requires you to hit golf shots! I can't wait to play it again! I shot an 80 from the Blue box with about 3-5 strokes left out there due to not knowing the course! Beauty!

Quality course in excellent condition. Staff always friendly and helpful. Can't beat the value in Hattiesburg.

This is pretty much my home course while in school here in Hattiesburg. Presents a good and reasonable value for the quality of the course and its a very enojoyable facility. Good scorable front 9 with a more challenging back in my opinion. One of the better public courses in the Pine Belt area.
