Golf Club At Terra Lago - South Course

My buddy and I teed off on South course at 7:15 am in a full force gale and remarked that if we broke 90 we should be proud. This is a neat layout with plenty of variety and great views. Loved the box car bridges and constant change in direction. Aside from the wind, which was actually fun to navigate, and the waste areas which often looked like construction zones, my only real complaint was the green speed. They were very hard and much too fast for the slopes, and this made two putting nearly impossible unless you were perfectly positioned. If cut to between 8.5 and 9.5 I would want to play here regularly.

The practice area is amazing and the staff was friendly and helpful. We did break 90 but it took some good shots and plenty of good fortune. Also, we played in three hours, which is always appreciated.

Most fairways and greens are in decent shape. The rest of the course is terrible. Bunkers are in very poor condition; waste bunkers have been neglected for a very long time. I have no interest in playing here again due to the course conditions. Staff did what was required (i.e., checked you in, gave you range balls) but I found the interactions with those on duty today less than welcoming.

This is a great course. The last time I played it was 20 years ago when it was in perfect condition (used for the Skins Game back then). The course, fairways, greens are still in great shape BUT the sand traps are just abysmal. Most are just clay, pebbles, rocks or standing water. I didn't want to hit out of them for fear that I would ruin my sand wedge. Come on guys, fix the sand traps and this would again be a first class championship course.

Don’t count on help from the marshals. We had four groups on hole 9 and no help. 5.0 hours

True greens, excellent practice facilities. Opportunity - somewhere to place cleaning pods for irons. There were none throughtout the round, none on on cart or at Tee boxes.

I did like the course layout. However the fact that bunkers were just mud with no sand was very disappointing. Par 3’s could have been beautiful and fair if there was sand in the bunkers that surrounded them.

Starter just took our receipt with no greeting or helpful information such as where bathrooms were located on the course.

This course has slipped over the years. There is zero maintenance of the sand traps, drainage pipes lying around, 2 golf bags lying in a ditch for the entire month of March. For the state of the course it should be 30.00 bucks a round.

Very hard to find the T,s. We played red. Also bunkers were so hard, no sand, or water and mud. For the money, it was awful.

Well, this is a poorly maintained course. Many holes had no signage indicating where they were so it was easy to get lost. On the other hand, Hole 13 had 3 or 4 signs, all right by the tee box. The carts are range limited so the cart dies and beeps if you are too close to the green but also if you are in other areas which are not marked as closed or forbidden and in some cases are at the side of the middle of the fairway. No sand in the multiple sand traps and most traps have vegetation taking over the area. I won't be back or recommend this course to anyone.

Lake’s smell, sand traps are terrible and have no sand in them, several greens have a fungus or disease, zero ball washers to be found. Still had a good time!

The course needs more attention, bunkers have limited sand . Mainly weeds and mud

Booked thru tee off.com. Pro shop did not have reservation. Showed on phone. Accepted. Teed off close to on time. Played 9 holes in 2 hours and 45 minutes. Walked off after 9 due to slow play. No marshal on course. Overbooked. Terrible experience. Played North previously and

It was all good. Not very lush but the price was right. You get what you pay for. I would go back.

South course is not very pretty. The North is better, but the South looks like a toxic wasteland at points.

The check in was rude. We paid for balls to use the driving range. We got out there and it was closed so we had to come back for a refund which took forever. The greens had just been punched which we were not informed of and no discount was offered. Would not come back.
