Pretty awful experience
Booked a twosome for 1:10, with a cart. Checked in, and was notified there were no carts, so had to walk our bags the entire day.
I asked the starter when we were up, and he said we can tee off after the foursome. I arrived to the teebox with 9 guys waiting. The foursome tee’d off and another foursome immediately jumped in, although their tee time was at 1:30, because “the starter said they could go after them”.
Must be a common thing, because every other group I asked what time they were supposed to tee off, they answered with “the starter said i could just hop on and squeeze in”. Not sure why I got a tee time, if times don’t exist at this place.
With the pileup of 12 dudes on the first tee box, the pace of play was horrendous, with people just skipping holes and walking to other ones, subsequently ruining the experience for others as well.
Wish I would’ve packed up and gone home after the first hole, because it was one of the worst days of golf I’ve had in so cal.
We had two carts go out on us batteries went dead third cart was fine, but many people on the course were pushing carts staff was not friendly about it either I understand it's out of their control
Pace of Play
Pace of play is unbearable. Took me and another friend almost 3 hours to finish the front 9. Called the clubhouse to get the marshal out and they refused. Simply saying that they’re backed up. Last 2 rounds i’ve played here it’s been the same thing. They don’t do anything about it, and it’s very frustrating considering that a 1PM tee time should be done at or around 5PM. Instead, we were stuck on the 15th waiting for 3 groups on the same hole. Embarrassing. Hurry them up. A hole shouldn’t take 20 minutes to play.
Good course
The course was in great shape. The greens were nicely mowed and the fairways were nice and green. The pace of play was good on the from nine then it slowed down on the back nine, nonetheless we played 18 in 4hrs & 30 min.
The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
Good: Pricing on a weekday w/ cart is a good deal.
Bad: Slow front 9 due to no par 5 until hole 8.
Ugly: Non operating restrooms 🚻 on front 9, no food or drink service.
First time
Course condition and particularly the greens were great. They need to improve pace of play as on a few tees we actually had 2 foursomes stacked up in front of us.
BROKE 100
Broke 100. This course is very forgiving due to the holes being in close proximity to one another. One shank, hook, or duff and you’re still relatively safe. Greens were slow but being that it was a hot day it’s to be expected. A little pricey for a Sunday but had a great time. Would 100% play again
Ball washers
Not sure why they wouldn't have any ball washers out and you would think they make sure customers have the combination for the restrooms before they tee off.
