Nice layout
A nice layout with beautiful scenery ..I like the south course the best because I like the elevation changes ...Course has been in very good shape throughout the late summer and spring compared to courses near the inland empire...My only complaint is the sand traps are straight up dense beach sand that are difficult to get out of with a full stroke..My favorite course being a mid 80s to low 90s player..
Great course
The course is definitely in great shape the staff is friendly, the south course is a challenge but well worth it.
Long long day in the pasture
I love the Los Serrano’s South course. That being said, I’m not so sure I like it so much on a weekend. Paying $60 for a 3 hour front 9 and a 2:45 back is a long time in the field. I understand the groups are sent every 8 mi urea, but they may want to make it every 10 since the players ability is poor and takes longer. I will NEVER play here again on a weekend!
Los Serranos. Today
Overall course in good condition. Green fairways since last time I played last year. Greens still little bumpy from being punch recently. Should be really good in say 2-3 more weeks. Restaurant bar offers good food and. Friendly service all around.
Way slower than normal
Over 5 hours to play this round.. it's a very challenging corse for the average as it is long and demanding... good condition, and really like how the challenge... but got to do something about the pace of play. Also disappointing that you have to pay (extra) for the GPS that is on the cart.... that is pretty weak!
Aerated Greens and Muddy Fairways but Only $29
I made the tee time and saw the aerified greens alert so that explained the low cost round. We knew that going in so wasn't an issue. There were some areas in the fairway and other parts of the course that were pretty wet/muddy. Again, only paid $29. We teed off at 8:30 and were done my 12:25. Par 74 and fairly challenging. We'd go back in a heart beat. Nice bar and good food too.
Sloooowww!!
I had a tee time with GolfNow for 12:10 PM on the south course and come to find out the North course was being aerated that day and was totally closed the problem was they excepted reservations for the North course all players played on the south course instead so there was double the amount of people they allow fivesomes after 10 PM and I saw several of them in front of us this round took five hours and 45 minutes no joke ridiculous will never go back!!
goat track
Tee boxes torn up. Rough is a mixture of dirt, crab grass and regular grass. Been a long time since I played here but it’s on way worse shape than I remembered it being. Looks like they over compensate the dry rough area by over saturating the fairways. Lots of muddy , damp lies in the fairways. Def will not be going back anytime soon. Not worth $65 whatsoever. #sorry
Great Cours!
Best course I’ve played so far in So Cal! Anyone saying this course is slow is only because it’s a long course with tons of par 5’s. Pace of play was 3hrs with no one in front and no one behind. Most likely any negative comments about this course are from locals who are trying to keep the course from really getting popular(surfers do this to keep people from surfing certain spots)it wasn’t voted best course in California last year for no reason!. They space out people every eight minutes. So no matter what there is a huge break after the first hole as the first 5 holes are par 5’s. I think the only issue is the local golfers that call this place home. I’ve watched them skip hole after hole wondering what they were doing. They were trying to catch a guy way ahead of them., hit up on him and then play around him on 18. These local INland Empire golfers arent handybwith their sticks anyways (heat must have fried their brains out their), no golf etiquette what so ever, picking up ball after bad shot to go play off their buddy’s good shot, took em 4hrs to complete 18 and they skipped every other hole,. I would call every buddy, every acquaintance, and let them know all the bad comments written about this course is just locals trying to scare people away. Let everyone know and get this place packed! But all in all this is my new favorite course and I’m going to holding skins games their with 50 Well off people 3 days a week! Thanks for the best, most beautiful, and fun to play round I’ve ever had! Course has everything to offer!
Friendly Course
I liked the course South side. It was a friendly course and all the greens are in a good layout. I have not lost a singke ball and thats what i like most. I had a good experience.
LOS of an Afternoon
The South Course at Los Serranos is dubbed the longest course in California and presents a significant challenge. We played from the Blue Tees, one up from the infamous Jacks Blacks. The course measures over 7100 yards from the blues but it was not insurmountable. There are six par fives and the shortest par three was around 170 yards. There are plenty of elevation changes and uneven fairway lies and difficult approach shots. The course forces the player to use every club in the bag, and despite the long measurable, its not a driver-only strategy. We were four first timers at Los Serranos and discovered that many greens featured less break than what we played. But beware being above the hole on any green as downhill putts were very quick. Complaints would include the lack of drinking water and no beverage cart on the course, odd for a Saturday afternoon. Also, the course was overcrowded and fivesomes were allowed, making for a nearly 6-hour round.
Long and tough
Love this course as it plays long and hard even from the whites..... great character and really a good layout.... way crowded today and marshal let me switch from the South to the north course because of the back.... really nice of him to do this.
