The course looks to have had good bones in the past. It is in horrible shape now. Bunkers and fairways had not been maintained in quite some time. Most of the lies in the fairway were bare. There were downed trees everywhere. The greens were spotty and slow. I strongly suggest not playing this course. No matter how little they charge, it's not worth it. It's too bad because it is a nice layout.

We showed up 30 minutes before our tee time and the guy working at the front desk, said you guys should go look at the course before you play. We quickly saw the course was completely dry and was unplayable. The guy in the pro shop then informed us that the course hadn't been watered in 3 months. The guy at the pro shop said he would cancel our round. Me and my other 3 friends quickly found a course close and were able to get a round in. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. I also still got charged by GolfNow which is insane.

Nothing but dirt and mud in the fairway. Save your time and money play ANYWHERE else.

We had a teetime for three people we paid for the cancellation fee policy when we arrived. The course was non-playable and we did not play. We requested a refund and they told us we need to get that through you. Please contact us ASAP as we did not play a single hole.

I know that this course gets MANY very negative reviews.

CONS:

- Some fairways are mostly dirt.
- Bunkers need to be filled in with something.

PROS:

- Greens are in really good shape & very puttable.
-Tee Boxes are improved significantly.
-Staff was very friendly.
- Two beers & one bottle of water at the turn $10 total.
-Played comfortably in 3 1/2 hours.
- Hot Deals at decent times (which I didn't use) for $23.99!

After booking a "Hot Deal" on GolfNow that clearly stated "Cart Included", the front office tried to extort $10 additional for a cart! The reason given was that the course does not make any money when the Hot Deal is used. If I am not mistaken, that is not my problem. When I suggested they contact Golf Now and have them revise the offer, they said their plan is to wait until people arrive, hit them up for the extra $$ and if the customer refuses, they will allow the customer to fight with Golf Now to get their money back. So it appears they want the advertising Golf Now provides but they don't want to honor the deals. The guy told me Golf Now does not say "cart included" but then I showed them right on the receipt that it does. After much arguing, they let us play according to the Hot Deal but no one should have to have that argument when they are just trying to go have a nice day. The poor guy at the desk is clearly intimidated by the owner. It's not his fault. It's the owner. Congratulations! You just lost our group of 20 rounds per month.

If you for some reason decide to pay money to play here, please be prepared to hit off dirt, mulch, and dead grass for every shot. Tons of potential, but seems like there is 0 effort being put in to make it better. Until there is, you couldn't pay me to play here again.

The good news: They have brought the greens back to "fair to good" and are playable. They have increased watering to include many fairways. They have started to make basic improvements to tee boxes.
The bad news: Before wasting time/water/money on fairways, you need to do some tree work. You are putting the cart before the horse. Every pine needs to be thinned. Every eucalyptus needs to be reduced by 30% so that the tree can be healthy and deliver water to it's branches. There are dozens of dead trees, fallen branches, even dangerous conditions because these trees have not been properly cared for in 20 years. The debris dropped by these trees is acidic to the soil and a huge nuisance to a good game of golf. When a large branch does break, you drag it over to the sides of the river banks rather than dispose of it properly. Take it all over near the black tee box on 16 and hire a wood chipper once a month to make some mulch you can use in so many areas. Other branches have grown to block classically good golf shots, making it frustrating to good players that will not return. Taking care of the trees (drastically) is the first step you should take to bringing up the course condition. It will help the tree and the grass below it. Such a move would provide incentive for folks to come back that have given up on this course. Hire a professional company like Davey Tree to make a dramatic impact. There are also so many areas near tee boxes and greens that would benefit greatly from the simple use of a weed whip, a rake and a blower. I only wish 1 person that worked here played golf and could see it through a golfers eyes and, most importantly, have the authority to do the right thing.
So while the recent efforts are appreciated, the course will remain unplayable for many simply due to tree neglect causing so many other issues.

This used to be such a wonderful golf course in it’s day but
Now its so far gone I don’t believe the owners will ever bring it back. Would I play it again… yes — playing it off the hard ground instead of grass is fun and challenging, greens are in great shape though.

Used to play here a couple years ago, before it was a normal thing to pay $65 for a round here. Anyways everything is pretty much dead, your fairways consist of dead grass and dirt. This is the whole time and not a couple holes. Greens are in great condition surprisingly, I only played here because I got a hot deal for $18.99. Not sure what the course is going through and/or if there is a change of hands between owners. This place desperately needs help or it looks like it’ll be closed forever if it passes the point of no return.

Course was in horrible condition. Only grass was on the greens, and those look like they have not been mowed in a week. Owners should be sued for false advertising when you look at their website.

Sad condition. This could be a beautiful course with a 5 million investment

This course needs to be totally redone. The fairways are more brown and patchy than green. The tees are no more than mounds of dirt. This course needs a MAJOR facelift or just close it down.
