About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 06/2019.
Diamond Valley Golf Club is an easy drive into Hemet Valley from a number of locations including San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. Though it's easily accessible, the course is tucked away in the San Jacinto Mountains, offering a feel of peaceful seclusion. The layout encompasses a variety of terrain, from scenic waterscapes to lush, rolling hills covered with native plants and grasses. With dramatic elevation changes from tee to green, this course isn't walker friendly, which can easily be overlooked if you're looking for a truly formidable test. The sloping nature of the landscape lends a different character to each hole and the elevated tees provide panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. One of Diamond Valley Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 17th. It's as scenic as it is challenging, requiring a short iron to wedge shot over a cascading waterfall.

Bye to an Old Friend
It will be closing June 2nd. As most have noted this course has seen it's better days. It' is by far the best layout in the valley so I will be sad when it's gone.
Struggling
Course is struggling with very little play and warmer weather drying it out...Greens were still good and fairways had playable lies for the most part...as with most inland empire public courses it is a matter of getting enough money in the register to keep the course up and this one is really taking it bad with little play....at least for the next couple weeks it is playable but by middle of May it maybe the start of a long dry summer....will the course be open come September maybe a fair question...
Course is in alot better shape then a few months ago. Greens are nice, only a few tee boxes and fairways need more attention... Great value for the money. I'll definitely be back to play it again...
Worth Coming Back
Had played here 6 months ago and would have given it 1 star then, played today with a small group of friends and was amazed at the improvement....no it it not the Diamond Valley of 5 years ago BUT they have done very good at getting the course back in shape...Greens were all GOOD. Fairways still need work BUT are very playable on all but maybe 3 holes....I will be back and anyone who has not been there in 6 months, or even a year I think you will be happy to see the improvement...BIG P>S> all the lakes are full again.....
Improved in last 4 months
Still one of my favorite designs and in a great location (no houses!). The course was in such sad shape when I played it in November but the rains have helped and, while hardly pristine, the condition is much improved now (March 17/19). This layout is one of the best around. We only hope the owners will put the money in that will be needed to bring this course back to the class act it was only a few years ago. Maybe then our men's golf club will be able to put Diamond Valley back into our rotation.
Conditions Are Improving
I have avoided playing here for the last few months as the condition of the course had gotten pretty bad: plus two holes had been shortened in length. Happy to say course is back to its original par 72 layout and conditions have improved somewhat. Fairways are still devoid of grass in many areas; greens are good; rough is also bare in spots.
Biggest negative - I booked a 6:32 am tee time and no one showed up in the pro shop until a bit "after" 7:00! Hope to see more improvement in the future as layout is fun & challenging.
Diamond in the rough.
Course conditions improved from a few months ago. Hole 9 now back to par 5. New green grass fairway. Other holes indecent condition. A challenging course for all levels.
Cart included? Still had to pay $10 extra for a cart!
Purchased online as a single, cart included!! When I got there they said my tee time put me with a bachelor party of 5. I was not comfortable playing with a large group of people I did not know. They told me I would have to change my tee time and pay extra for a cart if I didn't play with the party. $10 on top of what I had paid online to play! Not cool!
Not Bad!
Ok, this course is not immaculate but it's coming around very nicely. I would play this course again & again. The greens are very nice. They are letting the rough grow some but a very nice course. Go play it!
Good Value
This course is a good value. The layout keeps it interesting as you can think about how you want play the hole. My round took less than 3 hours without trying. I highly recommend this course. The greens are very consistent. I think the fairways are what you should expect for this time of the year.
Th Ninth hole Par 5 is back!!!
Great value for the money. No houses on the course. Challenging holes. Overall good fun for the average plus golfer.
Course needs attendance
Love the layout but course is in rough shape needs some real time work #9 is temporary turned into a Par3 They have over seeded #9 so they are letting in grow in which makes sense but the price should reflect that .
GOING DOWNHILL
Clubhouse poor, too many bald spots, not much green grass, on many of the holes the green fairway was too far from the tee boxes for average golfer.
This course has a good layout...
The course is not bad...it needed a little maintenance. Green is good but the tee box needed attention...
So far, I'm convince that this course is good for all levels of golfers..
The Worst Conditions I have Ever Seen!
The last time we played here was 8 years ago. The conditions were beautiful! Now the conditions are dry and almost non existent grass. The grass that there is is about 1 mm long. Some of the greens were green and others were brown. The last time I've I played a course that was THIS MESSED up was Moreno Valley Ranch and it went under two weeks later. What are the intentions of this course?? Are you planning to stay in business?
Good course
This is a good layout but is suffering due to drought conditions. Greens are in good condition but some fairways are dry..
Worth the drive
Diamond valley is a little gem 1 1/4 hours outside of Palm Springs. The course is beautifully designed . A lot of ithe grassy area was very dry, but they are watering. We will go back next year.
