Diamond Valley Golf Club is an easy drive into Hemet Valley from a number of locations including San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. Though it's easily accessible, the course is tucked away in the San Jacinto Mountains, offering a feel of peaceful seclusion. The layout encompasses a variety of terrain, from scenic waterscapes to lush, rolling hills covered with native plants and grasses. With dramatic elevation changes from tee to green, this course isn't walker friendly, which can easily be overlooked if you're looking for a truly formidable test. The sloping nature of the landscape lends a different character to each hole and the elevated tees provide panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. One of Diamond Valley Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 17th. It's as scenic as it is challenging, requiring a short iron to wedge shot over a cascading waterfall.

What’s going on?
So I’ll start with asking what is going on with the two changes on the front 9?????? Hole #5 Made to a par 5?? And hole #9 moved to a par 3???? Huh??? Please tell me this is temporary????? Owner if your reading this do not make that change?? Look I get it...we live in California and water is scarce and the bill is high! But just save water and cut your watering down by converting your course to links and water the fairways only! Not that difficult...I see you guys water certain areas that aren’t even in play?? Waste of water......anyway don’t change the front 9! Course was dry but greens were perfect...course layout fun (without the changes to #5 and #9) goodness course to play for under $35
Hope This Course Survives
Course conditions have deteriorated over past few months. Lots of brown areas and overgrown weeds. 2 holes have been changed; one from a par 4 to 5, the other from a 5 to 3. Not sure why the change or whether it's only temporary. First available tee time is 7:10 even though it's light out by 6 am. Pro shop pretty basic and lacking products. Just doesn't look like course will survive.
$$$$$$$$
Golf courses aren't profitable now a days. If owners are going to invest in courses they need to do it for the right reasons, which from my perspective is 1) For the love of golf, 2) Long term profitability. Diamond valley golf course will not be with us much longer. I said my good bye's yesterday and unless my two perspectives are addressed properly, I sadly will not see the course again.
Good bye my friend, you were at one time the best deal in the valley back in the days.
You're right, this course is "done" played last week, counter man was rude, they have converted 9 from a par5 to par3? due to lack of water! and the fairways were a disaster. Too bad, it used to be a great track.
Very Surprised Happy
I have played this course off and on for years. Back in Feb I played and was disappointed. But today was great. The fairways have come in and are green and lush. The greens were great and consistent. Not like last time I played. Will definitely start coming back routinely. Overall happy day.
We love this place..relaxing unhurried pace, natural beauty.
This is one of my wife and mines favorite tracks. I like it for the challenge and it is a challenging course with good length and hazards a-plenty. My wife likes it because she's able to relax. There's no homes along fairways and it's always been an unhurried pace for us here. No one pushing us to go faster, we finished in three and a half hours or so our last time out and never felt hurried which is a big bonus for a wife whose really a beginning golfer. Excellent value, and course is in good shape except the ladies tee boxes were a bit shoddy on some holes. I will say though the boundary enforcing GPS control of the golf carts can be a bit tiresome to say the least.
We golfed midweek, your mileage may vary.
Good Day For Golfing
The weather was perfect. Again, I had to walk 100 yards downhill to the range then 100myards uphill to the club house before I was given a cart for my round. The pace of play was very good.
Beautiful course
One of my favorite muni courses in the area. Plenty of challenging holes, great views, and a friendly staff.
Nice Spring Conditions
Fun layout that has some great ego Boosting holes. The course was on very good condition when we played in the spring. Greens rolled firm and fair. Would be play again when in the area.
Course conditions over all very bad
The greens are fair shape . But most of the fairways are very poor condition do to not watering course!!!
...disappointed...
I've been bouncing around Southern Cali playing golf for 10 years and this was the worst outing I have experienced. The course...except for the 9th hole is in terrible condition. The greens are a bit better. Hardly any signage to tell first timers where to go. Teed off towards the wrong fairway once. disaster.
The head guy in the pro shop does not have any customer service skills. I booked a hot deal at 9:58 a.m and live one HR away. Found out that my tire had a hole in it. So I called the course that I was running late. He told me I was out of luck and had to cancel. Fyi the course isn't busy today. I don't get why this man is working a customer service job.
Worst ever
I’ve played over 800 courses around the world and this is the worst ever. Terrible condition.
The pro shop guy was fantastic and really liked him.
Course was horrible!
golf course for a matures
!. only one person for the entire staff. 2. could not get a cart until 10 muniutes before t-time, so I had to walk 100 yards to and from the range. 3. The greens were inconsistent. 4. Three greens were for miniature golf. Unrealistic for regular golf. 5. The trees by the t-boxes need to be cut back. The are hanging in the field of play.
Save Your Time & Money
Played in Early February and thought the course would be better in March. Wrong !!! The course is in absolutely terrible condition. The greens are the only thing with green grass on them for 17 holes. Number 9 is the only green fairway and that is because it was over seeded. I wouldn't be surprised if this course is open again next season, unless someone else takes over that has some cash !!
Very Nice Golf Course
I've played this course before and I must say It's one of my favorites. I'm and even bogie golfer and it takes all my skill to play at that rate. It very challenging yet some holes seem so easy. I highly recommend anyone who hasn't played this course to do so. I don't think you'll be disappointed. It's an off the beaten path. It's a kind of hidden jewel of a good golf course! I highly recommend Diamond Valley!!!!
Lots of roll & fast greens.
Challenging but fun. Lots of extra roll & the greens are very tricky & fast.
Almost NO public course in California will be around in 10 years if they cannot charge over $40 a round and get at least 150 week day tee times and over 300 week end tee times at $45 or more....and that will only happen when the number of courses is so low you have to pay the price to play.....by 2030 public golf will be a very rare activity....
