Diamond Valley Golf Club is an easy drive into Hemet Valley from a number of locations including San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. Though it's easily accessible, the course is tucked away in the San Jacinto Mountains, offering a feel of peaceful seclusion. The layout encompasses a variety of terrain, from scenic waterscapes to lush, rolling hills covered with native plants and grasses. With dramatic elevation changes from tee to green, this course isn't walker friendly, which can easily be overlooked if you're looking for a truly formidable test. The sloping nature of the landscape lends a different character to each hole and the elevated tees provide panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. One of Diamond Valley Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 17th. It's as scenic as it is challenging, requiring a short iron to wedge shot over a cascading waterfall.

Good variety of holes, nice views, all in all a nice course except for the very dry fairways. Hey, it's California in the desert, so that's not unusual.
The greens were in good condition.
Overall, good value.
Course conditions coming back
Tee off was at 7:30 a.m. It was cold for the first 3 holes, there was even frost on the fairways. We have been playing this course for years now and unfortunately the last couple years the conditions have been getting rough there. The last time I played was in October and at that point I wasn't sure if I would make the long drive back to DV. Played yesterday and was pleasantly surprised the greens were in great shape and you can see they are making effort to improve the overall course conditions. #9 which was the ugliest hole is now the greenest. The lakes are full again and the debris has been cleaned up. Improvements do need to be made in the concessions. Give people a reason to hang out after there round and enjoy the scenery.
Beauty and the Beast
.....ugh......I feel so many different golfers emotions towards this course....the memories of the past prestine and perfect course conditions (beauty) ...to the new areas of horror, rugid, and feirce course conditions (beast) basically I’ve been playing here for over 5 years and the past is definitely the PGA Course I remember and want but the present is till a great and challenging course to play. Great greens and some nice fairways(SOME) still for under $35 bucks you won’t feel disappointment after playing here unless you can’t hit some fairways and your basically an army golfer of the tee lol please play here and keep diamond alive! Owners need to offer more for golfers to enjoy after the round! More food, drinks, happy hour, and a waitress or bartender! This would surely bring in some business! Hopefully someone’s listening......anyways Diamonds aren’t found all pretty and shiny...there worked on for long periods of time to become what we all know ....
this course is run on a shoestring
Play it on a Friday with a tee time of 12:30. Course didn't seem that busy but we had to wait until
12:50 to get a cart.????. How can you run a golf course and not have enough carts even on a relatively slow day. There were a few holes where the rough was in way better condition than the fairways. Can't really complain about the greens.
Course layout interesting
Course is dry, has some querky holes would like more moisture, but lots of roll with miss hits
Challenging layout
This course is in really good condition considering that they don’t overseed the fairways, the greens we’re fast but true and in excellent shape
Enjoyed the course beautiful scenery challenging course which I like.
Challenging course
Considering the present drought, this course is in pretty good shape! I found the par fives rather long but I’m not a real long hitter! All in all , awesome course and would recommend it anytime!
get what you pay for
Course is what you would expect for the price. Woman in the clubhouse is the worst, cart gps doesn’t work all it does is make the cart stop and slow down to a crawl everytime you go by a rock . Carts are absolutely ridiculous, so bad I probably won’t play here again just because of that. Don’t waste your time
I love the layout of this course. I like playing here. It's low key and low$$$. a few detriments; Tee to Green is in really bad shape. Permanent Winter Rules should apply. It's a gopher habitat on many holes. The carts have a very irritating governing system. I hate to say anything negative about this course. If they get in in too good a shape, it would be double the cost to play this interesting a layout. Good Luck DVGC
Love the layout but !
I am a snow bird & have always enjoyed this course as matter of fact it was my favourite because it reminds me of the one I play & work @ home (Canada) but I have to say this is the worst shape I’ve seen it in . The fairways are bare & in places it will have to be reseeded in lots of areas it looks like there short of water & money . Too bad hopefully they can look after it better than this .
Great layout
This was my first round of the 2017-18 winter season. It appears that the course is trying to cut costs as the fairways were dormant summer grass and very short. The water hazards are at best half full. Much of the rough was dry dead desert weeds. That said, the course is still a pleasure to play and a formidable challenge. The tees and greens were in very good confition with the greens well watered and receptive. We had an enjoyable round snd will be back to play again.
Never again
Why bother providing a review the staff is sorrowful and the course has become that way as well.
