Tight course with lots of hills
Our 4some had an 8, 14,18 and 20 hcp.
Course is challenging but really stretched out between holes. Not a walkable course as it can be a half mile between fairways. Several holes were blind shots due to looking uphill into the sun (we tee'd off at 11) #18 was totally blinding.sun at 3pm. Houses on both sides of fairways but never really came into play for any of us. We had a bet that first to hit a house pays $5 to other 3. Didnt hit one, despite my slice.
To to SLOW
I enjoyed the little time spent there. I quit after 9 holes. Nice course, but you have allow yourself 6 hours to play this course
Pretty but tough
Beautiful views, excellent greens, fun layout. Fairways could use work but overall excellent value.
Great greens- but S L O W pace.
Interesting layout in that the course snaked through housing development and no holes visible except the one you are playing. “Rough” consists of dirt and fairways needed water badly but the greens are superb- best feature of the course. The pace of play was very slow because of a tournament and on one par three hole, there were 4 groups waiting to play and no marshall in sight all day. Fair value for the money.
Don’t bother with so many other courses around
Don’t bother with so many other courses around the San Diego area. The construction they did really ruined it and hurt the condition of the overall course. Hard pan for fairways, dead brown tee boxes and dirt surrounding the course. The only positive was that the greens were in great shape. Do not pay over $35 to play this course.
Cool course but lots of trouble.
If your shots are not precise you can find yourself hitting the same shot again and again. But we had a great time and will play the course again.
Bare areas
The only thing i didn't like was the bare area on the course if you did not hit the fairways. Greens were perfect. But fast.
Greens have too much slope for the speed
I'm ok with fast greens but when you can drop a ball at the hole and it rolls off the green, well, no one want to play in these conditions. This was the case on multiple holes including putting the put within a foot of a drop off. Try reading the fair play of golf for greens before finalizing hole selection...
Pics on website looked nice
Disappointed in the condition of the course. Fairways were a bit bare and greens were pretty beat up. There were a few nice holes, 10 had a great view and was a good hole. Bunkers had standing water in them on a feeble holes and were like concrete. Vegetation aro tee and holes was dead and dry. I would give the course a 3. Not what I expected but hey it was better than sitting at home.
Excellent Time
Everything was very well organized and fun. Greens were awesome, you could take your cart anywhere. The thing I liked most was the freedom you felt on the course.
Nothing to complain about. Had lots of fun, and the speed of play was awesome!
You will enjoy it!
Not bad for a Saturday afternoon
Nice course good greens (a tad hairy here and there but nice and green). The only thing I did not like was the ugly backside of homes that are eye-sores and also a lot of rough areas have been converted to mulch and dirt. Course is good though - we’ll worth $40 and pace wasn’t awful either.
Reviews are True when it comes to Bunkers
Course was interesting. Very much target golf for most of the course. I fond my self repeatedly thinking they just said "hey, there some land how about a hole there?" This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just tight fairways and aggressive doglegs.
Overall I enjoyed the course.
However, the bunkers were awful. I didnt want to believe the other reviews that they were just dirt. They were. This is especially a problem as the course relies upon bunkers to punish bad shots.
Overall fun course. Certainly challenging. Due to desert fauna and tight fairways bring a few extra balls.
