Beautiful Course
Very Nice Course. The Fairways and Greens were all kept in very nice condition. Our Group had a very Good time.
Fantastic on all levels
We really enjoyed this course beautiful and those breakfast burritos were delicious.
a day in the mountains
The pace of play was excellent. The staff indicated we could go out anytime we wanted and played the round under 3 1/2 hours. The course was well maintained although the greens were soft and slow – particularly compared to Graeagle which is the opposite. Play from the tips and the course is a brute. Play from the whites and it’s a scorer’s dream.
Overall we enjoyed the course, the staff and as always the views are spectacular.
Plumas Pines
Beautiful course. Very friendly staff. Would play again. Of the four courses we played in the area. The staff here was the most friendly.
Good conditions, great staff, some tight fairways, greens could be faster
Overall the conditions of the course are good, the fairways can be tight on some holes so leaving the driver in your bag for most of the round is a good idea even playing from the tips. The staff is very friendly and willing to accomodate you and appreciate your business. Only thing I could say is that they could cut the greens a little bit shorter to make them faster, however, they are probably keeping them slow and a little bit longer to accommodate most of "their" guests. overall I think this is the second best course within 45 miles or so.
Slow Play and Poor Cart Return Time Policy.
We has two groups of six in front of us which makes for slow play. The first group let us play through on the second hole but we caught the second group on the back nine and play was slowed considerably.
The marshal asked us on the 13th hole to make sure out carts were in by 7:30. Last week we were told to have the carts in by 8:00 pm. We three holes to comply with the 8:00 request but this week booked an hour earlier to be able to play the entire back nine. We were in by 8:00 with the carts and there were still other carts out on the course. If they cheerfully take your green fees and issue you a cart they should be prepared to let you finish your round as long as there is light enough to safely play.
Great experience
The pace of play was excellent. We golfed 18 holes in 3 hours and 20 minutes. We didn't feel rushed at all. The course was beautiful and beautifully maintained. The views are fantastic. The pro shop staff was friendly and helpful. The Longboard Bar and Grill was awesome. The drink prices were reasonable and the food was great. The waitstaff was attentive and professional. We will definitely be going back when we vacation in the area again. Highly recommend!
LOVED IT, WILL BE BACK!
WE GOT A GREAT PRICE ON GOLFNOW AND THE IS NOW ONE OF MY FAVORITE COURSES...
Beautiful Place To Golf
Greens have some subtle breaks, more than big undulations, and were pretty fast. Course is a little narrow, but not as much as it appears. Ball carries a little farther at 4,000+ elevation. Really nice course in great condition. Hope to play it again soon, before I forget everything I learned yesterday!
The course is an incredible mountain course
My favorite course Beautiful and. Well maintained The staff is the best
Always a fun round
The course is always fun to play and the scenery is excellent. Greens are in good condition and the fairways are green and narrow
love this course
Stuck in the middle of a co ed best ball tournament,,but still had a great time
great place to play
only problem was we has to wail on every shot as 4 begineers were in front of us and 4 in front of them
Best day of golf ever!
Had a great time. Staff was friendly and generous
Course was in great shape !!
Popular Plumas Pines on Poplar Valley Road
I highly recommend this course. In the summer the pace of play can be 5 hours, but don't let that deter your playing. Plumas Pines is an enjoyable golf experience from the friendly staff to the course condition. Playing now in the later fall, the greens have been plugged and sanded, but that isn't an issue considering the current green fees on Golfnow.
Great fall golf in the Sierras!
Course is still in great shape - told us will start punching for winter on 10/29. Very few people playing so pace of play was good. Daytime temps in the 80's. All equals a great golf day! Then you get to eat & drink at LongBoard's - doesn't get any better than this. Did it twice this trip!
great course
A gorgeous golf course and friendly staff. Can't wait to go again.
Outstanding!
Plumas Pines is one of the outstanding courses in Norhtern California! Excellent staff, great food and outstanding conditions of the course. Just wish it was closer to home.
