Great condition
Rolling hills, a lot sloping shots, hill side and up and down. The greens are a solid A. Most greens are open in the front and tilted fwd with danger in the back and danger on one side or the other, typical Donald Ross.. Second time playing this month and will play again.
Great Course, Great Condition, Great Staff
i showed up to the course after i booked a prepaid tee time (for a very low price might i add) from golf now and when i got there, i realized i foolishly booked it for the next day. the staff had no issue and got me right out there when they didn't have to. i was very grateful for that as it was my mistake. then one of the staff explained to me how the course was laid out which was very nice, especially since it was my first time there. the course itself was in fantastic shape, and they even marked out drop areas for slightly bare areas that they were working on. pace of play was excellent, but i was also sent out right after a morning shotgun tournament. the only problem was on the 15th par 3, i couldn't find the tee box, so i ended up hitting it from the blue tees, and knocked it stiff, so turned out to not be a problem at all. i recommend anyone from the area to check out this course. im going to call them right after this review to book another tee time for tomorrow.
a good round but not without challenges
THis is a great course and it is a win just to get out here because it is so busy with city workers and locals. Our tee time was during a tournament on one side and a small group of local on the front. It took forever to play the round but the course was in good shape and the views are great. Bring a lunch and dont be in a hurry here and you will have an enjoyable round.
Tee to greens in great shape
Had a great day and with the golf now coupon you couldn't beat the price. $20 walking 18. Nice.
Great condition, little overpriced.
Always in great condition, especially greens.
Some great views of Worcester, and great reasonable restaurant on clubhouse deck.
There are usually so many 4somes out there and the pace is so slow, you mine as well walk.
If you can get a great deal on GolfNow, definitely worth it, but their standard pricing is fairly high.
Fantastic course and great value
This course is a gem and a great value. The course was in great shape and the greens were fast and had multiple levels and undulations. The staff was friendly and courteous. The only drawback was having my hot dog on a hamburger bun, because they had run out. Can't wait to go back
Had a great time, pace was okay and course was in great shape
I like Green Hill a great deal, went as a single and was paired with a great two some.
clique
We showed up early for our tee time and we went to the first tee a few minutes early. One group teeing off so we thought we had it made. NOT!!! 2 more foursomes came up to the tee and told us we had to wait because the guys in front and they always played together. I went back to the pro shop and was told that's the way it is.It was like high school again. If you're in your in and if your not......you fill in the rest.
Great municipal course with beautiful views
This was a great course in wonderful shape. We did start 20 min. late, and it was slower on the front 9 than the back (for a little over 5-hour round), but it WAS the July 4th holiday. The views from the higher elevation holes are spectacular. It was a nice experience for a great price!
Great value
I wanted to play someplace new within reasonable driving distance from Boston/South Shore, and there was a great Hot Deal rate for Green Hill. It turned out to be a fantastic value. The course was in good shape with an interesting layout. Luckily, we were paired with a couple who knew the course and could help with some of the blind shots and sloping fairways. Walking this hilly course was a workout, especially in 90 degree heat, but there was a breeze. The views were really nice. The only problem, as often is the case, was that our GPS sent us to a closed entrance. Overall, a good golf day and I would recommend it.
Too Many Kids
The Ranger monitored the front 9 only and the kids in front of us were playing extremely slow. Would have been nice to have a ranger to remind them about pace of place.
In the heart of the city,a good value and challenging course
Built on one of the Worcester Hills, one of the better public
courses in the area. From tee to green many different lies
and elevation changes. For the walkers, do the front nine, but
take a cart for the back ,long hilly backside. Older course in
good condition with trees and woods on most holes,. Only
water on right side of nine, but wide fairway will keep ball in play
Rolling greens can be fast with pin placement,Bunkers could do
with more sand. Overall great views on most holes, good eats
and drinks at the Grill on the Hill and good value
