Green To Tee Photo submitted by gregjm1977 on 03/17/2013
Sweet Layout
Very cool course design, loved the islands and bridges that connected the course. Excellent practice area with grass tees, chipping area and well maintained putting green. Pace of play was great despite a full parking lot, hardly noticed other groups on the course. Lots of distractions - water, trees, sand, forced carry, but easy to score well if you keep it down the middle. Played spring of 2023 - fairways and greens in great shape.
Poor new ownership
I booked a tee time on golf now. I have played this course many times in the past, but this is only the second time under the new ownership, which changes every 3-5 years. Around 7:00 while hitting our approach shots into the 16th hole, we were approached by the range and told that we had to pick up and head in. He said the course closes at 7. I had to pay online for the round at the course's request, and was not informed of this when they took my payment. We could have finished in 15 minutes. I will probably have to wait until the new owners sell the course until I play here again. I enjoy this course, but there are several in the area that are better and cost less.
Better than the resort courses down the road
Found this course a few miles from the resort we were staying at. Well worth the drive. Course play was slowed the day I visited by a 4 some that refused to speed up or let others by, only downside of the round. Course was in good shape and very scenic. Would recommend this course rather than the over priced Sevierville Golf Club courses. Island Pointe didn’t charge me twice as much as the local to play.
Great layout, beautiful surroundings, in good shape.
Super value, very cool course design, nice staff. Played early April, fairways are coming in nicely. Greens are lush but fairly slow.
Interesting Course
When we first arrived, we were wondering if we made a mistake playing the course. The carts are old and the clubhouse is unremarkable. However, the staff was super friendly and the course was great. There are some very interesting and fun holes on the course as you work your way up, down, and across the river and onto various islands in the river. We played in early April before the fairways greened up. I am sure it is beautiful when it is all green. We will pay again when we visit TN again.
LOVED IT!!!
In town from Florida. Really enjoyed this course. Was told by locals that this was the course to play and it did not disappoint. The layout was challenging with the holes to, from and within the islands. The greens were true (like my Florida greens at home), unlike most “glassy” fast green around this area. That may not be for everyone, but was great for me. Greens, and fairways were in great shape. If I had to list a weak spot, some of the tee boxes needed attention. But overall, LOVED this course!!! Definitely one of my all time favorites.
Fun Fun Fun
First off I really enjoyed playing this course and was pleasantly surprised by the elevations of some holes. The course is situated on a river so I expected a mostly flat course.. Very fair course ,nothing tricked up and was a joy to play. Everyone that worked there was more then helpful in every aspect. Defiantly will play again when I travel back here
Still a good layout with some fun par 3s over water very windy fay we played. Course needs a bit of tlc to get in a bit better shape.
Layout of course is nice. Sure course will be better once fairways grow back in. Pace of play wasnt too bad until we got stuck behind six carts on one hole and witnessesd one of them driving next to 17 green and then onto 18 tee box
Lovely Day
It's early so the fairways were spotty but the greens were in great shape for the time of year. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were the first group out and were never pressed from behind. Wind made it challenging.
Course was in great shape and I was let on as a single with no hassle
